Setup
Powering the Device
The CX-CD113 can be powered by two (2) AA batteries (not included) or an optional AC/DC adapter (sold separately).
- Battery Installation: Open the battery compartment located on the underside of the player. Insert two AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment. Close the compartment securely.
- AC Power (Optional): Connect a compatible DC 4.5V AC/DC adapter (not included) to the DC 4.5V AC/DC adapter jack on the player. Plug the adapter into a standard wall outlet.
Inserting Interchangeable Color Inserts
To change the appearance of your CD player, gently lift the clear cover on the top of the unit. Place your desired color insert (red, purple, clear, or blue) into the designated slot, ensuring it sits flat. Close the clear cover securely.
Connecting Headphones
Plug the 3.5mm jack of the included stereo headphones into the headphone jack located on the side of the CD player.
Operating Instructions
Loading a CD
- Gently press the "OPEN" button or slide the latch to open the CD compartment lid.
- Place a CD onto the center spindle with the label side facing up.
- Gently press the CD down until it clicks into place.
- Close the CD compartment lid firmly until it latches.
Basic Playback Functions
- Play/Pause: Press the PLAY/PAUSE button to start or pause playback.
- Stop: Press the STOP button to stop playback.
- Skip Tracks: Press the SKIP FORWARD (>>|) button to advance to the next track. Press the SKIP BACKWARD (|<<) button to go to the beginning of the current track, or press twice to go to the previous track.
- Search: Press and hold the SKIP FORWARD (>>|) or SKIP BACKWARD (|<<) button during playback to fast-forward or rewind through the track.
- Volume Control: Adjust the volume using the volume dial or buttons (location may vary, typically on the side or front).
Advanced Playback Functions
- Repeat: Press the REPEAT button once to repeat the current track (Repeat 1). Press it again to repeat all tracks on the CD (Repeat All). Press a third time to cancel repeat mode.
- Random Play: Press the RANDOM button to play tracks in a random order. Press again to cancel.
- Intro Scan: Press the INTRO button to play the first few seconds of each track on the CD. Press again to cancel.
- Programmable Track Memory:
- In stop mode, press the PROGRAM button.
- Use the SKIP FORWARD (>>|) or SKIP BACKWARD (|<<) buttons to select the desired track.
- Press PROGRAM again to confirm and add the track to the program list.
- Repeat steps 2 and 3 for up to 20 tracks.
- Press PLAY to start programmed playback.
- Digital Bass Boost Sound (DBBS): This feature is typically activated by a switch or button labeled "DBBS" or "Bass Boost". Toggle it on or off to enhance low-frequency audio.
Maintenance
Cleaning the Unit
