4. Safety Instructions
Always follow basic safety precautions when using electrical appliances to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury to persons.

- Hot Surfaces: The grill plate and lid become very hot during use. Use cool-touch handles and oven mitts as needed.

5. Setup
- Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
- Clean: Before first use, wash the grill plate, drip tray, and tempered glass lid with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
- Assemble: Place the drip tray into the base of the grill. Ensure it is properly seated.
- Install Grill Plate: Position the non-stick grill plate securely over the heating element.
- Attach Thermostat: Insert the detachable thermostat into the designated slot on the side of the grill plate. Ensure it clicks firmly into place.
- Add Water to Drip Tray: Fill the removable drip tray with water up to the indicated maximum level. This helps reduce smoke and keeps food moist.

6. Operating Instructions
- Plug In: Plug the power cord into a standard 120V electrical outlet.
- Preheat: Turn the adjustable thermostat to your desired temperature setting. The indicator light will illuminate, signaling that the grill is heating. Allow 3-4 minutes for the grill to preheat. The indicator light will turn off when the desired temperature is reached.
- Place Food: Carefully place food directly onto the preheated non-stick grill plate.
- Use Lid: For juicier results and to reduce splatter, place the tempered glass lid over the grill while cooking.
- Monitor Cooking: Adjust the thermostat as needed during cooking.
- Remove Food: Once cooked, carefully remove food using wooden or heat-resistant plastic utensils.
- Turn Off: After use, turn the thermostat to the 'OFF' position and unplug the appliance.

7. Cleaning and Maintenance
- Unplug and Cool: Always unplug the grill and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Remove Thermostat: Detach the adjustable thermostat. Do not immerse the thermostat in water.
- Empty Drip Tray: Carefully remove and empty the non-stick drip tray. The drip tray is machine cleanable.
- Clean Grill Plate: Wipe the non-stick grill plate with a soft, damp cloth or sponge. For stubborn residue, use a mild dish soap. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads that could damage the non-stick coating.
- Clean Lid: The tempered glass lid can be washed with warm, soapy water or placed in the dishwasher.
- Clean Base: Wipe the exterior of the grill base with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the base in water.
- Storage: Ensure all parts are clean and dry before storing the grill in a cool, dry place.
8. Troubleshooting
- Grill Not Heating: Ensure the thermostat is correctly inserted and plugged into a working outlet. Check that the thermostat is turned to an 'ON' position.
- Excessive Smoke: Ensure the drip tray contains water. Excessive fat in the drip tray can also cause smoke; empty and refill with water if necessary.
