1. Product Overview

2. Setup Instructions

2.2. Loading the Label Tape

1. Hold the label maker firmly.
2. Locate the rear cover on the handle. Gently open the rear cover to access the tape compartment.
3. Insert a DYMO embossing label tape cartridge into the slot, ensuring the tape end faces upwards and is properly seated.
4. Close the rear cover until it clicks securely into place.
5. To feed the tape, turn the character dial to the 'space' icon (often represented by a blank space or a specific symbol) and repeatedly squeeze the handle until the tape emerges from the front slot. This ensures the tape is correctly positioned for embossing.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1. Embossing Characters

1. Rotate the character dial to select the desired letter, number, or symbol. Ensure the chosen character is centered in the viewing window.
2. Squeeze the handle firmly and completely to emboss the character onto the tape. Release the handle.
3. Repeat the process for each character of your label. For best results, apply consistent pressure for each character.
4. To create a space between words, rotate the dial to the 'space' icon and squeeze the handle once.

1. Once you have finished embossing your text, rotate the character dial to the 'scissors' icon.
2. Squeeze the handle firmly to cut the label. The label will emerge from the front of the device.

3.3. Applying the Label

1. The embossed labels are designed for easy peeling. Locate the pre-cut notch at the end of the label (if applicable) or gently bend the label to separate the adhesive backing.
2. Peel off the backing paper to expose the adhesive.
3. Carefully apply the label to a clean, dry surface. Press firmly along the entire length of the label to ensure good adhesion.

• Characters not embossing clearly: Apply firm and consistent pressure when squeezing the handle. Check if the character dial is correctly aligned with the embossing mechanism. Ensure the tape is not jammed.
• Labels not cutting: Ensure the dial is set to the 'scissors' icon and the handle is squeezed completely. If the cutting blade appears dull after extended use, consider replacing the label maker or the tape cartridge, as the blade is integrated.
• Tape getting stuck: Verify that the tape is not twisted or bent inside the compartment. Remove the tape cartridge, straighten the tape, and reinsert it.
