Setup
1. Battery Installation

Operating Instructions
Recording
- Manual Recording:
- Ensure the Voice Active System (VAS) switch is in the OFF position.
- Press the RECORD button. The REC indicator will illuminate.
- Speak clearly into the built-in microphone.
- To stop recording, press the STOP button.
- Voice Activated Recording (VAS):
- Slide the Voice Active System (VAS) switch to the ON position.
- Press the RECORD button. The REC indicator will illuminate, but the tape will only advance when sound is detected.
- The recorder will automatically pause when there is no sound and resume when sound is present.
- To stop recording, press the STOP button.
Playback
- Ensure a recorded microcassette is inserted.
- Press the PLAY button. Audio will play through the built-in speaker.
- Adjust the volume using the Volume Control.
- To stop playback, press the STOP button.
Fast Forward and Rewind
- To fast forward, press the FF button.
- To rewind, press the REW button.
- Press the STOP button to halt fast forward or rewind.
