Setup and First Use

Before using your coffee maker for the first time, follow these steps:

  1. Unpack: Remove all packaging materials and labels from the coffee maker.
  2. Clean: Wash the thermal jug, lid, and filter holder in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a damp cloth.
  3. Position: Place the coffee maker on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface, away from water sources and heat.
  4. First Rinse Cycle: Fill the water reservoir with fresh cold water up to the '10 cup' mark. Do not add coffee. Place the empty thermal jug with its lid on the heating base. Plug the appliance into a suitable power outlet and switch it on. Allow the full cycle to complete. Discard the water. This cleans the internal components and removes any manufacturing residues.

  3. Position Jug: Place the thermal jug with its lid securely on the heating base. Ensure the lid is properly closed to maintain coffee temperature.
  4. Start Brewing: Plug the coffee maker into a power outlet. Press the On/Off switch. The indicator light will illuminate, signaling that the brewing process has started.
  5. Serving: Once the brewing cycle is complete, the coffee maker will automatically switch off. The thermal jug will keep the coffee warm. Carefully remove the jug to pour.
