Setup and First Use
Before using your coffee maker for the first time, follow these steps:
- Unpack: Remove all packaging materials and labels from the coffee maker.
- Clean: Wash the thermal jug, lid, and filter holder in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a damp cloth.
- Position: Place the coffee maker on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface, away from water sources and heat.
- First Rinse Cycle: Fill the water reservoir with fresh cold water up to the '10 cup' mark. Do not add coffee. Place the empty thermal jug with its lid on the heating base. Plug the appliance into a suitable power outlet and switch it on. Allow the full cycle to complete. Discard the water. This cleans the internal components and removes any manufacturing residues.
Operating Instructions
Brewing Coffee
- Fill Water: Open the lid of the water reservoir and fill it with fresh, cold water to the desired level, using the water level indicator. The maximum capacity is 1.25 liters (approximately 10 cups).
- Add Coffee: Insert a permanent filter or a disposable paper filter (size 1x4) into the filter holder. Add the desired amount of ground coffee. A general guideline is one level tablespoon of ground coffee per cup (150ml).
- Position Jug: Place the thermal jug with its lid securely on the heating base. Ensure the lid is properly closed to maintain coffee temperature.
- Start Brewing: Plug the coffee maker into a power outlet. Press the On/Off switch. The indicator light will illuminate, signaling that the brewing process has started.
- Serving: Once the brewing cycle is complete, the coffee maker will automatically switch off. The thermal jug will keep the coffee warm. Carefully remove the jug to pour.

Maintenance and Cleaning
Daily Cleaning
- Always unplug the coffee maker before cleaning.
- Wash the thermal jug, lid, and filter holder after each use with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. These parts may also be dishwasher safe (check product markings).
- Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
- Never immerse the main unit of the coffee maker in water or any other liquid.
Descaling
Mineral deposits (limescale) can build up in your coffee maker over time, affecting performance and coffee taste. Descale your appliance regularly, depending on water hardness and frequency of use.
- Use a commercially available descaling solution suitable for coffee makers, following the manufacturer's instructions.
- Alternatively, a solution of white vinegar and water (1:2 ratio) can be used.
- Run the descaling solution through a full brewing cycle.
- After descaling, run at least two full cycles with fresh, clean water to rinse out any descaling residue.
