Setup and Assembly
- Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.
- Clean: Before first use, wash the oil reservoir, frying basket, and lid in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. The oil reservoir, basket, and lid are dishwasher safe. Wipe the exterior of the main housing and control panel with a damp cloth.
- Assemble:
- Place the main housing on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
- Insert the clean, dry oil reservoir into the main housing.
- Ensure the heating element and control panel assembly are securely attached to the main housing. The unit will not operate unless all parts are securely interlocked.
- Place the frying basket inside the oil reservoir.
- Position the lid on top of the unit.
- Connect Power: Attach the magnetic breakaway power cord to the designated port on the back of the control panel. Plug the other end into a standard electrical outlet.
Operating Instructions
- Fill with Oil: Ensure the unit is unplugged. Fill the oil reservoir with cooking oil up to the indicated MAX fill line. Do not overfill or underfill.
- Set Temperature: Plug in the unit. Turn the temperature dial to your desired frying temperature. The indicator light will illuminate, signaling that the unit is heating.
- Preheat: Allow the oil to preheat until the indicator light turns off, indicating the set temperature has been reached. This may take several minutes depending on the oil volume and desired temperature.
- Prepare Food: While the oil is heating, prepare your food for frying. Ensure food is dry to minimize splattering.
- Load Basket: Carefully place food into the frying basket. Do not overload the basket, as this can lower oil temperature and result in soggy food.
- Lower Basket: Slowly lower the loaded basket into the hot oil. Use the cool-touch handle.
- Set Timer: If desired, set the integrated timer for up to thirty minutes.
- Monitor Cooking: Observe the cooking process through the glass viewing window in the lid. The domed lid helps to catch condensation.
- Remove Food: Once food is cooked to your preference, carefully lift the basket out of the oil using the handle. Use the basket hook to rest the basket above the oil reservoir to allow excess oil to drain.
- Serve: Transfer fried food to a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any remaining oil.
- Turn Off: When finished frying, turn the temperature dial to the OFF position and unplug the unit. Allow the oil to cool completely before handling.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Proper cleaning and maintenance will extend the life of your deep fryer and ensure optimal performance.
- Cool Down: Always allow the oil and the unit to cool completely before cleaning. This may take several hours.
- Drain Oil: Once cooled, carefully pour the oil from the reservoir using the pour spout. Filter and store oil for reuse if desired, or dispose of it properly.
- Dishwasher Safe Parts: The oil reservoir, frying basket, and lid are dishwasher safe for convenient cleaning.
- Hand Wash: For best results, or if a dishwasher is not available, wash these parts in warm, soapy water. Use a non-abrasive sponge or cloth.
- Heating Element & Control Panel: The heating element and control panel assembly should not be immersed in water. Wipe these components with a damp cloth. Ensure they are completely dry before reassembly or storage.
- Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the main housing with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
- Storage: Ensure all parts are clean and dry before storing the deep fryer. Store in a cool, dry place.
