Setup

1. Unpacking the Charger

3. Connecting to Power

Connect the provided power cord to the power input port on the side of the CB-5L charger.
Plug the other end of the power cord into a standard electrical outlet (AC 100V-240V, 50/60Hz).
Ensure the connection is secure at both ends.

Operating Instructions

1. Compatible Batteries

The Canon CB-5L Battery Charger is designed exclusively for Canon BP-511, BP-511A, BP-512, BP-514, BP-522, and BP-535 series rechargeable batteries. Using incompatible batteries may cause damage to the charger or battery, and poses a safety risk.

2. Inserting the Battery

Align the battery with the battery slot on the charger, ensuring the contacts on the battery match the contacts in the charger.
Gently slide the battery into the slot until it clicks into place or sits securely. Do not force the battery.

3. Charging Process

Once the battery is correctly inserted and the charger is connected to power, the charging indicator lights will illuminate.
The charger features progressive light indicators (0, 50, 100) to show the approximate charge level of the battery. The lights will illuminate sequentially as the battery charges.
Charging is complete when the "100" indicator light remains steadily lit, or all indicator lights turn off (depending on the specific charger revision).
Charging time varies depending on the battery's capacity and its current charge level.

4. Removing the Battery

Once charging is complete, gently press the release tab (if present) or carefully slide the battery out of the charging slot. Disconnect the charger from the power outlet when not in use.
