Setup and First Use
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials and dispose of them responsibly.
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wash the pot, lid, and gasket thoroughly with warm soapy water. Rinse well and dry.
- Attaching the Handle: If the handle is detached for cleaning or storage, align it with the lid and slide it into place until it clicks securely.
- Inserting the Gasket: Ensure the gasket is correctly seated in the lid's groove. A properly installed gasket is crucial for pressure sealing.

Operating Instructions
- Adding Ingredients: Place your ingredients and the required amount of liquid into the pot. Observe the maximum fill lines (2/3 MAX for most foods, 1/3 MAX for expanding foods).
- Closing the Lid: Place the lid on the pot, aligning the handle with the pot's side handle. Rotate the lid clockwise until it locks into place. The handle's blue button should be fully depressed, and the indicator on the handle should show 'locked'.
- Setting Pressure Level: The WMF Perfect Plus offers two cooking levels. Use the cooking regulator on the handle to select the desired pressure level.
- Heating: Place the pressure cooker on a suitable hob (gas, electric, ceramic, induction). Heat on high until the pressure indicator rises to the desired level (one or two rings).
- Cooking Time: Once the desired pressure level is reached, reduce the heat to maintain the pressure. Begin timing your recipe.
- Pressure Release: After cooking, remove the cooker from heat. You can release pressure naturally (allow to cool), or quickly by sliding the steam release button on the handle. Always direct steam away from yourself.
- Opening the Lid: Once the pressure indicator has fully dropped, slide the handle button to 'open' and rotate the lid counter-clockwise to remove.

Maintenance and Cleaning
Proper cleaning ensures the longevity and safe operation of your pressure cooker.
- Detaching the Handle: For thorough cleaning, the main handle can be easily detached from the lid. Simply press the release button and slide the handle off.
- Cleaning the Handle: Rinse the detached handle under running water, ensuring all food residues are removed from the mechanism.
- Cleaning the Pot and Lid: The pot and lid (without the handle) are dishwasher safe. For hand washing, use warm soapy water and a soft sponge. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scourers.
- Gasket Care: Remove the gasket after each use and wash it. Allow it to dry completely before reinserting. Replace the gasket annually or if it shows signs of cracking or hardening.
- Storage: Store the pressure cooker with the lid inverted or slightly ajar to allow air circulation and prevent odors.
