Introduction

Welcome to the exciting world of Elefun! This game provides a fun and active experience for young children, challenging them to catch colorful butterflies as they are blown from the Elefun unit's trunk. Designed for 2 to 4 players, Elefun encourages hand-eye coordination and active play.

Setup

Battery Installation

1. Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the Elefun unit.
2. Using a Phillips head screwdriver (not included), unscrew the battery compartment cover.
3. Insert 4 'C' size batteries (not included) into the compartment, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated.
4. Replace the battery compartment cover and secure it with the screw.

Assembling the Elefun Unit

1. Attach the flexible plastic trunk to the Elefun elephant unit. Ensure it is securely fitted.
2. Spread the vinyl butterflies' wings slightly to help them fly more effectively.
3. Place all 30 butterflies into the opening at the base of the elephant's trunk.

Operating Instructions

The objective of Elefun is to catch as many butterflies as possible with your net as they are blown out of the elephant's trunk.

1. Ensure the Elefun unit is placed on a flat, stable surface.
2. Turn the Elefun unit ON using the switch located on its base. The motor will start, and the trunk will stand upright.
3. The Elefun unit will begin to blow butterflies out of its trunk into the air.
4. Players use their butterfly nets to catch the butterflies as they fly or as they land.
5. Once all butterflies have been released and caught, count the butterflies in each player's net. The player with the most butterflies wins the round.
6. To play again, gather all butterflies and place them back into the trunk opening.

Game Variations:

• Color Catch: Assign each player a specific color of butterfly to catch. The player who catches the most butterflies of their assigned color wins.
• Timed Catch: Set a timer for a specific duration (e.g., 1 minute). Players try to catch as many butterflies as possible within the time limit.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Wipe the Elefun unit and nets with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not immerse the unit in water.
• Storage: When not in use, store the Elefun unit and its components in a cool, dry place. The flexible trunk can be carefully rolled or folded for compact storage, but avoid sharp creases to maintain its shape and function.
• Battery Care: Remove batteries if the game will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.

Troubleshooting

• Butterflies not flying out: Ensure the batteries are fresh and correctly installed. Check that the trunk is securely attached and not obstructed. Make sure the butterflies' wings are slightly spread.
• Butterflies getting stuck in the trunk: This can happen if the trunk is creased or if butterflies are not spread properly. Gently shake the unit or carefully dislodge any stuck butterflies. Ensure the trunk is as straight as possible during play.
• Motor not working: Verify that the batteries are new and inserted with correct polarity. If the issue persists, replace the batteries.
