Setup and Assembly

1. Before First Use: Wash all parts except the motor base in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. The motor base can be wiped clean with a damp cloth.
2. Assemble the Food Chamber: Attach the food chamber to the motor base by aligning the tabs and twisting until it locks securely into place.
3. Insert a Cone: Select either the slicing or shredding cone. Insert the desired cone into the food chamber, ensuring it is seated properly.
4. Secure the Locking Ring: Place the locking ring over the cone and twist to secure it firmly.
5. Position the Unit: Place the assembled unit on a stable, flat surface. Position a bowl or plate directly under the discharge chute to collect processed food.

Operating Instructions

1. Prepare Food: Cut food into pieces that fit easily into the food chamber. For best results, ensure food is firm.
2. Plug In: Plug the appliance into a 120-volt, 60 Hz electrical outlet.
3. Turn On: Hold the unit firmly by the handle and press the ON button.
4. Process Food: Place food into the food chamber and use the food pusher to gently guide it towards the rotating cone. Apply steady, even pressure.
5. Direct Output: Point the discharge chute directly into your serving bowl, pot, or pan.
6. Turn Off: Release the ON button to stop the motor. Unplug the unit when finished.

Recommended Uses:

• Slicing: Use the slicing cone for vegetables like cucumbers, carrots, radishes, and fruits such as apples and bananas for salads or garnishes.

• Other: Grate chocolate, chop nuts, and make bread or cracker crumbs.

Foods Not Recommended:

Do not use the Salad Shooter for grinding coffee, or processing cranberries, soft tomatoes, or meats. These items may clog the unit or damage the cones.

Care and Maintenance

Cleaning:

• Always unplug the unit before cleaning.
• The motor base should be wiped clean with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the motor base in water or any other liquid.
• All other parts (food chamber, food pusher, cones, locking ring) are dishwasher safe. For best results, clean immediately after use.
• For stubborn food residue, especially cheese, rinse parts under hot water before washing to help melt away residue.
