2. Setup
2.1 Power Source

2.2 Paper Roll Installation
To install a new paper roll:
- Open the printer cover.
- Place the new paper roll onto the paper roll holder, ensuring the paper feeds from the bottom.
- Feed the leading edge of the paper into the printer slot until it emerges from the top.
- Close the printer cover.

To replace the ink roller (Victor ink roller IR40T):
- Ensure the calculator is turned off.
- Gently remove the old ink roller by lifting it out.
- Unpack the new ink roller and insert it into the designated slot, ensuring it clicks into place.
- Close the printer cover.

3.1 Basic Operations
The calculator features a standard keyboard layout for basic arithmetic functions.
- Addition (+): Enter the first number, press +, enter the second number, press +.
- Subtraction (-): Enter the first number, press +, enter the second number, press -. (Note: This is a common accounting method where subtraction is treated as adding a negative number).
- Multiplication (x): Enter the first number, press x, enter the second number, press =.
- Division (÷): Enter the first number, press ÷, enter the second number, press =.
- Clear Entry/Clear All (C/CE): Press C/CE once to clear the last entry, press twice to clear all entries.
3.2 Special Functions
The EL-1750V includes several specialized keys for business calculations.
- Cost, Sell, Margin (COST, SELL, MGN): Use these keys for quick profit margin calculations. Enter two values, then press the third key to calculate the missing value.
- Tax Calculation (TAX+, TAX-): Configure the tax rate using the appropriate settings. Use TAX+ to add tax and TAX- to subtract tax.
- Grand Total (GT): Accumulates the results of calculations. Press GT to display and print the grand total.
- Memory Functions (M+, M-, M*, M): Store, recall, add to, or subtract from memory.
- Decimal Settings (F, 3, 2, 0, A): Adjust the decimal point setting using the slide switch. F for floating decimal, 3/2/0 for fixed decimal places, A for adding machine mode.
- Rounding Switch (UP, 5/4, CUT): Controls how results are rounded.
- Change Calculation (CHANGE): One-touch calculation to display and print the change owed.
- Average (AVG): Calculates the average of entered values.
