This manual provides detailed instructions for the operation and maintenance of your Sangean DT-200X AM/FM Synthesized Pocket Radio. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the device to ensure proper function and longevity.

The Sangean DT-200X is a compact and portable AM/FM stereo radio featuring a PLL synthesized tuning system for precise station reception. It includes a built-in speaker, stereo earphone jack, and various user-friendly functions designed for convenient listening on the go.

Setup
1. Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the radio.
- Slide the battery compartment cover open.
- Insert two (2) AA batteries (not included) according to the polarity markings (+ and -) inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.

2. Connecting Earphones / Antenna
For FM reception, the included earbuds or any standard 3.5mm earphones act as the FM antenna. Insert the earphone plug into the stereo earphone jack located on the top of the radio. For optimal AM reception, the radio utilizes a built-in ferrite bar antenna.
Operating Instructions
1. Power On/Off
- To turn the radio on, press the POWER button.
- To turn the radio off, press the POWER button again.
- The radio features a 90-minute auto shut-off function to conserve battery life.
- To disable the auto shut-off and allow continuous operation, press and hold the POWER button until the display indicates continuous mode.
2. Band Selection
Press the BAND button to switch between AM and FM radio bands.
3. Tuning Stations
- Manual Tuning: Use the TUNING UP (▲) or TUNING DOWN (▼) buttons to adjust the frequency step by step.
- Auto Seek Tuning: Press and hold the TUNING UP (▲) or TUNING DOWN (▼) buttons. The radio will automatically scan and stop at the next strong station.
4. Preset Stations (Memory)
The radio allows you to store up to 19 favorite stations (AM or FM) in memory. These can be mixed in any order.
- Tune to the desired station.
- Press and hold the MEMO button until the preset number flashes on the display.
- Use the TUNING UP (▲) or TUNING DOWN (▼) buttons to select the desired preset number (1-19).
- Press the MEMO button again to confirm and save the station.
- To recall a preset station, briefly press the MEMO button to cycle through your stored stations.
5. My Favorite Station
The "My Favorite" button provides quick access to a single, pre-selected favorite station. To set your favorite station, tune to the desired station and then press and hold the "My Favorite" button until the display confirms it's saved.
6. Volume Control
Adjust the volume using the VOL slider control located on the side of the radio.
7. Stereo/Mono Switch
The radio features a selectable Stereo/Mono switch. In areas with weak FM signals, switching to mono can improve reception clarity.
8. DBB (Dynamic Bass Boost)
Activate the DBB function for enhanced bass response, particularly noticeable when listening through earphones.
9. Lock Switch
The Lock switch prevents accidental changes to settings or power status. Slide the LOCK switch to the 'on' position to disable all buttons. Slide it back to 'off' to enable controls.

10. Built-in Clock
The radio includes a built-in clock. Refer to the detailed instructions in the included owner's manual for setting the time.
Maintenance
- Clean the radio with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- If the radio will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.
- Avoid exposing the radio to extreme temperatures, humidity, or direct sunlight.
Troubleshooting
