Setup

  1. Battery Installation: Locate the battery compartment on the back of the clock. Insert the required batteries (typically AA, check compartment for specific type) according to the polarity indicators (+ and -).
  2. Initial Signal Reception: After battery installation, the clock will begin searching for the U.S. Atomic Clock signal. This process may take several minutes to several hours, depending on your location and environmental conditions.
  3. Placement: For optimal signal reception, place the clock near a window, away from large metal objects, electronic devices, or concrete walls that may interfere with the signal. The clock performs best when facing Fort Collins, Colorado, where the atomic clock signal originates.
  4. Time Synchronization: Once the signal is received, the clock will automatically set itself to the correct time, including the correct time zone (if selectable, though this model is typically pre-set for a specific region or automatically detects).

Operating Instructions

The Atomix 00571 Atomic Clock is designed for fully automatic operation once set up correctly. It requires minimal user interaction.
