Operating Instructions
General Operation
The KitchenAid Artisan Series Stand Mixer features 10 speeds, allowing for precise control over your mixing tasks.
- Adding Ingredients: With the mixer head tilted back or lowered and locked, add your ingredients to the mixing bowl. The pouring shield can be used to prevent splashes and facilitate adding ingredients during mixing.

- Mixing: Allow the mixer to operate until ingredients are thoroughly incorporated. The planetary mixing action ensures 59 touchpoints per rotation for comprehensive mixing.
- Stopping the Mixer: Turn the speed control lever to "Off/0" to stop the mixer.
- Removing Bowl and Accessories: Lift the motor head. Turn the accessory to the left and pull it off the beater shaft. Rotate the bowl counter-clockwise to unlock and remove it.
