4.1 Front Panel Features

5. Setup

5.1 Connecting to a Television

Choose the best available connection type for your television:

1. S-Video Connection (Recommended for best quality):
   • Connect an S-Video cable (not included) from the S-Video output on the DVD player to the S-Video input on your TV.
   • Connect the red and white RCA audio cables from the DVD player's analog audio outputs to the corresponding audio inputs on your TV or audio receiver.
2. Composite Video Connection (Standard):
   • Connect the yellow RCA video cable from the Composite Video output on the DVD player to the Video input on your TV.
   • Connect the red and white RCA audio cables from the DVD player's analog audio outputs to the corresponding audio inputs on your TV or audio receiver.

5.2 Connecting to an Audio System (for Surround Sound)

For Dolby Digital or DTS surround sound, connect the coaxial digital audio output:

• Connect a coaxial digital audio cable (not included) from the Coaxial Digital Audio Output on the DVD player to the Coaxial Digital Audio Input on your Dolby Digital/DTS compatible audio receiver.
• Ensure your audio receiver is set to the correct digital input.

5.3 Power Connection

• Plug the AC power cord into the power input on the rear of the DVD player.
• Plug the other end of the power cord into a standard AC wall outlet.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Basic Disc Playback

1. Turn on your TV and select the correct video input source (e.g., Video 1, S-Video).
