On the front, there is a control panel with a dial and indicator lights for 'Heater' and 'Power'. The overall shape is oval, designed to accommodate hands, feet, or elbows.

5. Setup Instructions

  1. Placement: Place the paraffin bath on a flat, sturdy, heat-resistant surface. Ensure it is away from water sources and out of reach of children.
  2. Add Wax: Open the lid and place the included 6 pounds of paraffin wax into the tub. Ensure the wax is evenly distributed.
  3. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet.
  4. Melt Wax: Turn the control dial to the "HEAT" setting. The heater indicator light will illuminate. Allow approximately 2-3 hours for the wax to fully melt. The melting time may vary based on ambient temperature.
  5. Temperature Check: Once the wax is completely melted, turn the control dial to the "WARM" setting. Wait for approximately 20 minutes to allow the wax to cool slightly and reach a comfortable, safe temperature for application. Always test the wax temperature on a small area of your wrist before immersing hands or feet. The wax should feel warm and comfortable, not excessively hot.

6. Operating Instructions

Follow these steps for a paraffin wax treatment:

  1. Preparation: Ensure the wax is melted and at a safe, comfortable temperature (refer to "Temperature Check" in Setup). Wash and dry the area to be treated (hands, feet, or elbows) thoroughly. Remove any jewelry.
  2. First Dip: Slowly immerse the hand, foot, or elbow into the melted paraffin wax. Ensure the entire area is covered.
  3. Withdraw and Re-dip: Slowly withdraw the treated area from the wax, allowing the wax to solidify for a few seconds. Repeat this dipping process 6 to 10 times to build up several layers of wax.
  4. Retain Heat: For a longer heat treatment, immediately place a plastic liner (provided) over the waxed area. This helps to retain the heat and moisture.
  5. Relaxation: Allow the wax to remain on the skin for 10-15 minutes, or until the heat dissipates.
  6. Remove Wax: Peel off the solidified wax. The wax should come off easily, taking dead skin cells with it. Discard the used wax.
  7. Post-Treatment: After removing the wax, you may apply a moisturizer to the treated area.

Note: If multiple users are using the paraffin bath, it is recommended to discard the used wax after each treatment for hygiene purposes. If only one person uses the bath, the wax can be returned to the tub for re-melting.

7. Maintenance and Cleaning

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and hygiene of your paraffin bath.

  • Cleaning the Unit: Unplug the unit and allow it to cool completely before cleaning. If wax spills on the exterior or lid, allow it to harden, then gently scrape it off. Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe down the exterior. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the unit in water.
  • Wax Replacement: Over time, the paraffin wax may accumulate sediment or lose its effectiveness. It is recommended to replace the wax periodically, especially if it appears discolored or contains debris.
  • Storage: When not in use, ensure the unit is unplugged and cooled. Store it in a cool, dry place with the lid securely in place. Use the integrated cord-wrap for tidy storage.
