1. Introduction
This 6-quart Options™ multi-cooker is versatile, suitable for everyday use. It can prepare soups and casseroles, roast beef, pork, and poultry. Featuring a tempered glass cover, ceramic nonstick surfaces, and a heavy cast aluminum base for even heating, this multi-use pot adapts to various cooking needs. It can deep fry up to 6 servings of french fries, steam vegetables and rice, and even boil pasta. A steam/fry basket is included, designed to hook onto the rim of the pot for easy draining. The adjustable Control Master® heat control automatically maintains cooking temperatures. The multi-cooker is fully immersible for fast, easy cleaning once the heat control is removed.

2. Important Safeguards
Always read all instructions before using this appliance. To reduce the risk of personal injury or property damage, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including:
- Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
- To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse the cord, plugs, or heat control in water or other liquid.
- Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
- Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair, or adjustment.
- The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
- Do not use outdoors.
- Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
- Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
- Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
- Always attach the plug to the appliance first, then plug the cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to 'off', then remove the plug from the wall outlet.
- Do not use the appliance for other than its intended use.
- Avoid sudden temperature changes, such as adding cold foods to a heated pot.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. 4. Setup
The Presto 06003 Multi-Cooker requires minimal assembly before first use. A Phillips head screwdriver is needed (not included).
- Attach the Feet: Turn the multi-cooker pot upside down. The screws for the feet are typically pre-attached to the base. Align each of the four feet with the screw holes and tighten them securely using a Phillips head screwdriver.
- Attach the Handles: Locate the two handles. The screws for the handles are also usually pre-attached to the pot. Align each handle with its designated screw hole on the sides of the pot and tighten them securely with a Phillips head screwdriver.
- Assemble the Fry/Steam Basket: The handle for the fry/steam basket may need to be clipped into place. Follow the instructions provided in the included manual for specific assembly of the basket handle.
- Insert Heat Control: Once the feet and handles are attached, place the multi-cooker on a stable, flat surface. Insert the Control Master® heat control into the receptacle on the side of the multi-cooker. Ensure it is fully seated.
Your Presto 06003 Multi-Cooker is now assembled and ready for use.
5. Operating Instructions
The Presto 06003 Multi-Cooker offers various cooking functions. Always ensure the unit is on a stable surface and the Control Master® heat control is securely attached before operation.
General Operation:
- Plug the Control Master® heat control cord into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet.
- Turn the dial on the Control Master® heat control to the desired temperature setting (Warm, 200°F, 250°F, 300°F, 350°F, 400°F). The unit will begin to heat automatically.
- The indicator light on the heat control will illuminate when heating and cycle on and off to maintain the set temperature.
Deep Frying:
- Fill the multi-cooker pot with cooking oil. Do not exceed the maximum fill line indicated inside the pot.
- Set the Control Master® heat control to the recommended frying temperature (typically 350°F to 375°F). Allow the oil to preheat until the indicator light cycles off.
- Place food items into the fry basket. Do not overcrowd the basket.
- Carefully lower the fry basket into the hot oil. Cook until food is golden brown and cooked through.
- Lift the basket and hook it onto the rim of the pot to allow excess oil to drain.

Steaming:
- Add water to the multi-cooker pot, ensuring the water level is below the bottom of the steam basket when inserted.
- Place vegetables, fish, or other items into the steam basket.
- Insert the steam basket into the pot and cover with the tempered glass lid.
- Set the Control Master® heat control to the desired steaming temperature. Steam until food is tender.

Multi-Cooking (Soups, Casseroles, Roasting, Boiling):
- Use the multi-cooker pot directly for preparing soups, stews, casseroles, or roasting meats.
- Adjust the Control Master® heat control to the appropriate temperature for your recipe.
- For boiling pasta or other items, fill the pot with water and bring to a boil, then add ingredients.

6. Cleaning and Maintenance
Proper cleaning and maintenance will extend the life of your Presto 06003 Multi-Cooker.
- Cool Down: Always allow the multi-cooker and its components to cool completely before cleaning.
- Remove Heat Control: Disconnect the Control Master® heat control from the multi-cooker and unplug it from the electrical outlet. The heat control unit should never be immersed in water or other liquids. Wipe it clean with a damp cloth.
- Clean Pot and Basket: The multi-cooker pot and fry/steam basket are fully immersible for cleaning. They can be washed by hand with warm, soapy water or placed in a dishwasher. The ceramic nonstick surface ensures easy cleaning.
- Clean Lid: The tempered glass lid can be washed by hand or in a dishwasher.
- Storage: Ensure all parts are completely dry before storing. Store the multi-cooker in a dry place.
