Setting Your Combination
Your Master Lock 646T comes preset to 0-0-0. Follow these steps to set your personalized three-digit combination:
- Open the Lock: Ensure the lock is set to the default combination (0-0-0) and pull up the shackle to open it.
- Rotate the Shackle: With the shackle in the open position, rotate it 90 degrees (a quarter turn) counter-clockwise.
- Press Down the Shackle: While holding the shackle rotated, press it firmly down into the lock body until it clicks into place.
- Set Your New Combination: With the shackle pressed down, turn the dials to your desired three-digit combination. Make sure the numbers are aligned with the indicator marks.
- Release and Lock: Pull the shackle up, then rotate it back 90 degrees clockwise to its original position. Push the shackle down to lock it. Your new combination is now set.
- Test Your Combination: Scramble the dials and then enter your new combination to ensure the lock opens correctly.
Important: Remember your combination. Master Lock does not retain user-set combinations. If you forget your combination, the lock cannot be reset.
