Setup
Battery Installation
The thermometer operates on an LR44 battery, which is included. To install or replace the battery:
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the thermometer.
- Use a small coin or screwdriver to open the battery cover.
- Insert the LR44 battery with the positive (+) side facing up.
- Securely close the battery cover.

Operating Instructions
Turning On/Off
- Press the ON/OFF button to turn the thermometer on.
- Press the ON/OFF button again to turn the thermometer off and preserve battery life.
Changing Temperature Units (Fahrenheit/Celsius)
- Press the °F/°C button to switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius temperature readings.
Taking a Temperature Reading
- Turn on the thermometer.
- Insert the stainless steel probe into the thickest part of the food, avoiding bone or gristle.
- Wait for the temperature reading on the LCD display to stabilize. The display updates every second.
- Once the reading is stable, remove the probe from the food.
IMPORTANT: Digital thermometers are NOT meant to be left in food during cooking. The plastic and electronic components could be damaged with excessive heat. Always remove the thermometer from food once the reading is taken.
CAUTION: The thermometer probe will be hot after use. Use potholders or oven mitts when handling the hot thermometer.
