Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause / Solution
Flash does not fire.
  • Check if batteries are correctly installed and have sufficient charge.
  • Ensure the flash unit is securely mounted on the camera's hot shoe.
  • Verify the camera and flash are both powered on.
Flash output is too bright (over-flash).
  • The Speedlite 200E is a basic TTL flash with limited manual control over output.
  • Ensure camera settings (ISO, aperture) are appropriate for flash photography.
  • Increase the distance between the flash and the subject if possible.
Flash is not compatible with my Canon EOS camera.
  • While designed for Canon EOS, compatibility can vary with specific camera models, especially newer digital SLRs.
  • Consult your camera's manual or Canon support for specific compatibility information.
