Operating Instructions
Extending the Pole
The pole extends from 7.9 to 12 feet. To extend, unlock the pole by twisting the locking collar or pressing the release button (depending on model variation). Pull the inner shaft to the desired length and secure it by twisting the collar back or ensuring the button clicks into place. The double locking system ensures stability during use.

Using the Pruner
For branches up to 1¼ inches in diameter, position the pruner head around the branch. Slide the handle down the pole to actuate the cutting blade. The chain-drive gearing provides 3X more power for clean cuts. The cutting head rotates up to 230 degrees, allowing for optimal angle adjustment.

Using the Pole Saw
For thicker branches beyond the pruner's capacity, utilize the 15-inch saw blade. Position the saw blade on the branch and use a steady back-and-forth motion to cut through. Ensure a stable stance and clear surroundings before sawing.
Safety Precautions
- Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses and gloves.
- Ensure the area below the branch is clear of people and obstacles before cutting.
- Do not use the tool near power lines.
- Maintain a firm grip on the pole at all times.
- Avoid overextending the pole beyond its recommended length.

Maintenance
Cleaning
After each use, clean the blades and pole to remove sap, debris, and dirt. Use a damp cloth and mild soap. For stubborn sap, a specialized sap remover or mineral spirits can be used. Ensure all parts are dry before storage.
Lubrication
Regularly apply a light coat of machine oil to the moving parts of the pruner head, including the chain-drive mechanism and pivot points. This helps maintain smooth operation and prevents rust.
Sharpening the Blade
The precision-ground blade is designed to stay sharp, but periodic sharpening may be required for optimal cutting performance. Use a sharpening stone or file specifically designed for pruning tools. Follow the original blade angle for best results.
Storage
Store the pruner in a dry, protected area away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure the blades are clean and lightly oiled before long-term storage. Keep out of reach of children.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Difficulty cutting branches | Dull blade, sap buildup, branch too thick | Sharpen blade, clean sap, use saw blade for thicker branches |
| Pole not extending/retracting smoothly | Dirt/debris in pole mechanism, locking collar not fully disengaged | Clean pole sections, ensure locking collar is fully open |
| Pruner mechanism sticking | Lack of lubrication, sap buildup on chain/pivots | Clean and lubricate all moving parts |
