Introduction
This manual provides instructions for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of your De'Longhi Deluxe Burr Coffee Grinder, Model DCG4T. Please read all instructions carefully before using the appliance and retain this manual for future reference.
Important Safeguards

Setup
Before first use, ensure all packaging materials are removed and clean the removable parts as described in the "Maintenance and Cleaning" section.
- Place the grinder on a stable, flat, and dry surface.
- Ensure the ground coffee collection bin is correctly inserted into its compartment.
- Open the bean hopper lid.
- Add whole coffee beans to the bean hopper. Do not overfill. The maximum capacity is approximately 1.5 pounds of coffee beans.
- Close the bean hopper lid securely.
- Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet.

Operating Instructions
Follow these steps to grind your coffee beans.
- Select Grind Fineness: Rotate the grind selector dial to your desired setting.
- Extra-fine: Suitable for espresso machines.
- Fine: Recommended for drip coffee makers.
- Medium: Ideal for drip coffee makers.
- Coarse: Best for percolators or French press.
- Select Quantity: Rotate the quantity selector dial to the number of tablespoons of coffee you wish to grind. The grinder can process from 2 to 24 tablespoons at one time.
- Start Grinding: Press the power switch to the "On" position. The grinder will operate until the selected quantity of coffee has been ground, then it will automatically shut off.
- Collect Ground Coffee: Once grinding is complete, pull the ground coffee collection bin straight out from the unit. Remove its lid and pour the ground coffee into your coffee maker or storage container.
- Turn Off: If you need to stop grinding before the selected quantity is reached, simply press the power switch to the "Off" position.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your grinder.
- Before Cleaning: Always unplug the grinder from the electrical outlet before cleaning.
- Cleaning the Collection Bin: Remove the ground coffee collection bin. Hand wash the removable plastic bin and its lid with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before reinserting.
- Cleaning the Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the grinder with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the main unit in water.
- Cleaning the Burr Mechanism: Use a small brush (not included) to remove any residual coffee grounds from the burr grinding mechanism inside the bean hopper.
- Storage: Store the grinder in a cool, dry place when not in use.
