3. Setup

Battery Installation

The book comes with 2 replaceable long-life 357/AG13/LR44 alkaline manganese non-rechargeable button cell batteries already installed. These batteries are hazardous if swallowed.

1. Locate the battery compartment on the back cover of the book.
2. Using a small screwdriver, remove the screw securing the battery compartment cover.
3. Carefully remove the cover.
4. Insert new batteries, ensuring correct polarity (the plus (+) sign facing up).
5. Replace the cover and secure it with the screw.

Important Battery Guidelines:

• Only an adult should replace batteries.
• Remove exhausted batteries immediately and dispose of them safely.
• Do not dispose of batteries in fire.
• Do not mix old and new batteries.
• Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries.
• Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.
• Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the product before being charged.
• Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision.
• Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to be used.
• The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.
• Remove batteries if the product is not used for a long period of time.

4. Operating Instructions

Playing the Music

To hear the Gabby's Dollhouse theme song, simply press the large squishy button located on the front cover of the book. The button is designed for easy tactile interaction.

Sound Not Working

• Check Batteries: Ensure the batteries are correctly installed and not depleted. Replace them if necessary, following the instructions in the Setup section.
• Electrostatic Discharge: The sound module may be affected by electrostatic discharge. If this occurs, remove and reinsert the batteries to reset the sound module.
