Product Usage Instructions

Security Best Practices
The application should only be installed on a secure system which has been configured according to the guidelines set by your organization’s security officer. Access to the system should only be granted to authorized personnel.

Installation

Run the installer on the included USB key, start the program and follow the on-screen instructions to activate your license using the serial number found on the USB key’s shipping bag.

First-Time Use / Setup

Note: You must have admin privileges on your system in order to configure devices.
Compatible Apricorn devices can be identified by the “Configurable” logo.

1. Choose Create Profile, choose your device type, and create a configuration profile.
2. Plug your device into a USB port on your computer. If configuring multiple devices, use the provided USB hub, making sure the hub’s power cable is connected, the hub’s USB cable isconnected to your computer, and the appropriate hub ports are switched on (LED glowing).
   IMPORTANT: The included hub is the only hub authorized by Apricorn for simultaneous device configuration. Use of any other hub may provide inadequate power and can result in damage to the devices being configured.
3. Ensure the devices are in factory “out of box” state (BLUE and GREEN LEDs glowing steadily).
   If you’ve used a device previously, you may need to reset* the device.
4. Choose Configure Devices, choose your device type, and select the profile you created.
5. In the list of device serial numbers that appear on-screen, select the devices you’d like to configure, then click APPLY to start the configuration process.
6. When complete, a pop-up will confirm which devices were configured. You can now unplug the devices.
   * A reset will erase the drive formatting. Enable “Reformat” in the profile to automatically reformat the drive during configuration.

IMPORTANT: Use only the authorized Apricorn hub for device configuration to avoid damage due to inadequate power.
