How can I change the language settings in the Rexton app to improve readability?

    Answer

If you are finding the current translation difficult to understand, you can change the language settings directly within the Rexton app to one of the 21 available language options. To do this, follow these steps:

    • Tap the three horizontal lines (menu icon) on the upper left side of the app screen.
    • Select Settings.
    • Tap on App settings.
    • Tap on Language.
    • Choose your preferred language from the list of 21 options.

Additionally, you can contact Rexton for further support or to report translation issues by going to the Help section in the app settings, which allows you to connect with them via email.

  2. I have Rexton rechargeable hearing aids. I also had the Rexton app installed on my smartphone. I use the directional sector to focus on where I want to hear the best (i.e., restaurants, social gatherings, TV and etc.) sound.
I have question and, I believe, an resolvable issue. My question: Do I need to my my smartphone with me at all times in order to use the directional setting? Or, can I set the directional setting at home and then leave my smartphone at home?
Issue: when I set the direction setting to where I want to hear the best sound it works great for approximately 10 minutes and then goes back to the “general” setting whereby I hear all sounds from every direction. The directional setting doesn’t seem to hold the original request/setting for more than 10 minutes. Should I be doing something different so that the directional setting on my Rexton app stays permanent until I physically make a directional change?

    Question

How do I keep the directional hearing setting from reverting to general after 10 minutes, and do I need my phone with me to maintain this setting?

    Answer

Based on the Rexton App User Guide, here is the information regarding your directional settings:

    • Smartphone Proximity: Yes, you generally need to keep your smartphone with you to maintain active control over directional settings. The app acts as a remote control for the hearing aids. While the hearing aids will continue to function with the last set program if the phone is disconnected, manual directional overrides made via the app's "Directional Hearing" screen are often temporary adjustments to the current environment.
    • Settings Reverting: The issue where your setting reverts after 10 minutes may be related to the Motion Sensor feature. According to the manual (Fig. 13), there is a setting called "Use motion sensor" which "utilizes your movement to change directionality and noise reduction." If this is enabled, the hearing aids may automatically override your manual directional choice when they detect you are moving or after a period of environmental change.
    • How to Adjust: To potentially stop the automatic reversion, you can try disabling the motion sensor influence:
      1. Tap the Menu (three horizontal lines) in the upper left.
      2. Go to Settings.
      3. Select Hearing aid settings.
      4. Locate Use motion sensor and toggle it off to see if the directional focus remains stable.

If the setting continues to revert, it may be a programmed safety or "Automatic" feature set by your hearing care professional. You can use the Professional (TeleCare) section of the app to send a message to your dispenser to ask if they can extend the duration of manual overrides in your specific device programming.
