Pay More Attention

Working Principle

  • The wireless Android Auto adapter uses Bluetooth to establish a pairing between the phone and the vehicle, then switches to using Wi-Fi to maintain the wireless connection.
  • After the Bluetooth pairing is successful, the phone’s WI-Fi will automatically connect to the adapter’s Wi-Fi, and then disconnect the Bluetooth connection by default.

Based on the working principle of the adapter, please pay attention to the following:

  1. When using the wireless Android Auto feature, your phone’s Wi-Fi will be exclusively used by the adapter. As a result, you won’t be able to connect to any other Wi-Fi networks during this time. If there’s a conflict between the adapter’s Wi-Fi and other Wi-Fi networks, you may need to manually disconnect, ignore, or forget those other Wi-Fi connections to maintain the wireless Android Auto functionality.
  2. The auto-connection function of the adapter requires that you keep both the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on your mobile device active. Additionally, please set the Wi-Fi network of the adapter to “Auto-Join”:
    • Settings > WLAN > Ask to Join Networks: select “Notify”.
    • Settings> WLAN > Click the “i” symbol on the far right of “Android-Auto-XXXX” > Turn on “Auto-Join”.
  3. After pairing, the adapter will disconnect the Bluetooth connection to your phone. If your phone then connects to other devices, this might result in the Android Auto mic input or sound playback becoming unavailable. To resolve the issue, you might need to manually disconnect your phone from other Bluetooth devices or turn off Bluetooth directly. (Bluetooth plays a pairing role in the work of the adapter. When the pairing is completed, it only needs Wi-Fi to keep working, so it doesn’t matter to turn off Bluetooth. But when you use it next time, you still need to turn on the phone’s Bluetooth, so that the adapter can be automatically paired and connected.)

FAQs

The indicator light of the adapter is still on after the car is turned off.

Because the car does not immediately cut off all power when it's turned off, the adapter's light won't go out instantly; it will take a moment to do so. Please rest assured that its power consumption is minimal and won't drain your car battery.

. Can this wireless adapter play video and other streaming media on the car's screen?

For security reasons, not support stream and play video. The use of video apps: YouTube Video, Netflix, Hulu, and Ins is not officially supported.

Persistent disconnection.

The adapter relies on a Wi-Fi connection to your phone to work. Dropped connections are usually caused by Wi-FI interference. Do you have other WI-Fl devices in your car, such as a car camera with a Wi-Fi function? If this is the case, you may need to ignore other Wi-Fi networks when using the adapter. You can improve this problem by resetting your mobile WLAN network; updating the firmware of your adapter is also worth trying. To reset network settings (which will require you to re-enter your password when using a network you've previously connected to), follow these steps: Go to Settings > General > Transfer of Reset Phone > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

The adapter gets too hot when in use?

Due to rapid heat dissipation, the surface of the product may feel slightly hot as this is designed to better protect the internal circuitry. Rest assured, there is no danger Involved as the product has passed our rigorous safety testing.
