Troubleshooting:
Accidental or Unwanted Order from Dash Smart Shelf
Dash Smart Shelf placed an unwanted order.
Your Dash Smart Shelf reorders products when it detects low supply. Smart Shelf requires 12 hours of continuous weight readings below your reorder threshold before automatically reordering or notifying you that you’re running low. You have 24 hours to change or cancel your order after it has been placed.
If you have an accidental or unwanted order:
- Try cancelling the order before it ships from Your Orders.
- If the order already shipped, you can start a return from Your Orders.
- You can change your Dash Smart Shelf settings to reminders. With reminders, you are sent a notification reminding you to re-order instead of automatically placing an order for you.
Dash Smart Shelf Can’t Connect to Wi-Fi
Dash Smart Shelf can’t connect to Wi-Fi or has intermittent connectivity issues.
- Make sure that you have the correct Wi-Fi password. If your Wi-Fi password recently changed, update your Dash Smart Shelf’s Wi-Fi settings.
- Restart your Dash Smart Shelf by unplugging from the wall and plugging back in, or removing and replacing the batteries.
- Restart your internet router and modem by unplugging for 30 seconds and plugging back in.
Factory Reset Your Dash Smart Shelf
If your Dash Smart Shelf is unresponsive, or you want to erase your device settings, factory reset your device.
- Press and hold the button on the front of the device for about 15 seconds.
The LED blinks red when the device is resetting.
- Wait for the LED to blink white to indicate it has successfully reset.
Dash Smart Shelf Didn’t Place Order When Expected
Your Smart Shelf didn’t reorder your product as expected.
- Make sure your Smart Shelf is plugged in or has working batteries.
- Make sure your Smart Shelf is on a level surface, and that only your product and storage container (if using one) is on the Smart Shelf.
- Check your reorder threshold in your device’s settings in the Amazon app.
- Check if your Reorder Settings are set to send reminders of low supply instead of automatic reorder.

- Make sure your Smart Shelf is on a level surface, and that only your product and storage container (if using one) is on the Smart Shelf.
