FAQs
Have you heard a 747 at full bore taking off on the runway, well this one is not like that at all! It’s really quiet.
It is designed for that; however, I would not recommend leaving it unattended. I will not leave this one unattended, meaning that I am, at the minimum, at home.
No! It’s perfect at 500 watts. 250 watts is way too low and 600 watts usually trips the circuit breaker in older homes. Don’t change anything Amazon.
It should work depending on the size of your room and the temperature. My room is ~12’ by 10’ and 9’ ceilings and it works just fine I usually wake up and turn it off in the middle of the night because I get too warm. I still run heat in the rest of the house but makes sleeping a little more comfortable.
If the room is not insulated and is cold outside and the wall is 8 ft then it will not heat up the room at all. As a matter of fact the temperature will continue to fall. If you are just a few degrees off the direction this heater blows at you will feel cold air coming at you. It will make you feel colder.
If you intend to plug it in to campground power it should be fine. It will be insufficient for temperatures under 40F. I use a 1500W heater when I camp in my minivan and that is good until about the freezing point.
It just has an on and off switch, you can’t adjust the temperature, so I’m not sure what the exact temperature it gets to, but it does get warm enough, not too hot, just right for a small distance for example your office area. It will not warm up an entire room, think more like a small cubical area.
1W is equal to 3.41 BTU/h, so 1700 BTU/hr.
I don’t think so although it may can be used for that purpose.
It says in the manual it is not intended for bathrooms.
Should be fine placing it on top of the microwave. I have it on carpet about 4-6 hrs./day and the carpet isn’t warm.
I can’t say what decibel it is but it is very quiet. Makes about as much noise as a small fan on low.
I’m not exactly sure but I have it under my desk at work and it’s long enough to keep me warm. If I was guessing I would say 6 foot.
I don’t know. It just has an on/off button. No temperature control.
The power cord to this item is 72 inches (6 feet).
