Altech Abox Series Enclosure with Terminals
The NEW Abox family consists of eight enclosure sizes that feature an attractive modern design and shape that allow for optimum use of installation space. Each enclosure has either membranes or knockouts on each sidewall and on the backside. Five of the eight enclosures in this family feature Dual Molding Technology”. This feature incorporates self sealing elastomer membranes molded right into the polypropylene body. This allows the user to simply push wires through the membrane or cut them out to install a cable gland. These access holes can accommodate metric cable glands and entry spouts. The number of knockouts has been increased in this newly designed series.
Abox Enclosures are available in sizes ranging from 87 x 87 x 52 mm (3.43 x 3.43 x 2.05 in.) to 252 x 252 x 120 mm (9.92 x 9.92 x 4.72 in.). These enclosures have an IP66 protection rating and are suitable for indoor or protected outdoor use.
- Two to four high grade self taping screws secure the lid
- Tongue and groove sealing system with thermoplastic elastomer seal.

CONVENIENCE AND RELIABILITY
Abox Enclosures are manufactured in Polypropylene and are approved by several international test agencies. The unique design of Metric-Membranes allows for installation of large or small cables, cable glands, conduits, and entry spouts while ensuring that the enclosure remains sealed and all housed components are protected.
Center markings Perfect alignment in record time.
Using the center markings on the box, the Abox can be optimally aligned in seconds, by laser for example.
Internal mounting Quickly and easily onto the wall.
Wall mounting is straightforward thanks to the internal fixing points. The screws stay in place due to the membranes. 
One for all / Pozidriv/slotted head (PZ/S) No more laborious tool changes.
Only one screwdriver is needed for use with all the screws on the terminal and cover of the new Abox series. 
Larger interior space Wiring made easy.
Maximum wiring freedom and ease of working thanks to the larger internal space of the new Abox series.
A Modern Terminal Technique
With our new Abox Enclosures wiring is as easy as 1-2-3. Large numbers of cables from 20 AWG to 2 AWG depending on the enclosure size, can be easily installed. Smaller enclosures are available with push-in spring clamp terminals while the larger enclosures are available with highset screw clamp terminals.
