The Platinum Attitude team has been riding for decades in all types of group sizes from small to large and everything in between. We know firsthand how quickly things on a ride can go from wrong to even worse when trying to slow down and pull over a group of riders.
Our passion and our mission is to help fellow riders communicate safely during a ride. The Alert Rider Visual Communication System (ARVCS) is a low-cost, safe, simple-to-use device that solves the issues of rider-to-rider communication that the Platinum Attitude team have witnessed during rides.

Alert Riders Visual Communication System (ARVCS) Safety Messages
Safety Symbols
These instructions use the following symbols to identify situations that could result in death, serious injury, or minor injury:
DANGER
DANGER indicates a hazardous situation which, if not avoided, will result in death or serious injury.
WARNING
WARNING indicates a hazardous situation which, if not avoided, could result in death or serious injury.
CAUTION
CAUTION indicates a hazardous situation which, if not avoided, could result in minor or moderate injury.
NOTICE
NOTICE is used to address practices not related to personal injury. Notice signs are typically used for activities that result in property damage.
Safety Messages
Before using the ARVCS, read and understand the following safety messages:
WARNING
Avoid epileptic seizure. The ARVCS uses flashing lights. Do not use the ARVCS near any person who has epilepsy or a medical condition in which flashing lights may induce a seizure. Using the ARVCS unit near anyone with epilepsy can cause death or serious injury.
WARNING
Prevent accidents. Operate your motorcycle in a safe manner. Obey all traffic laws and local government ordinances while using the ARVCS.
Failure to follow traffic laws and local ordinances can cause an accident, which could result in death or serious injury.
WARNING
Avoid distraction. Notify your riding group that you are using the ARVCS prior to the start of your ride. Distracted driving could cause an accident, which can result in death or serious injury.
WARNING
Prevent accidents. Stay alert at all times when using the ARVCS. Keep your focus on the roadway.
Failure to focus on the road can cause an accident, which could result in death or serious injury.
WARNING
Prevent accidents. Do not operate the ARVCS in unsafe conditions. Only operate the ARVCS if it is safe to do so. Always be aware of road and traffic conditions to prevent accidents. Accidents can result in death or serious injury.
WARNING
Fire can be dangerous and destructive. The ARVCS system contains lithium batteries. Never charge or tore the ARVCS units near flammables. Lithium batteries are flammable and can cause fire, leading to death or serious injury.
WARNING
Prevent bystander distractions. Only mount the ARVCS on the motorcycle handle bars in clear line of sight of the operator. Mounting on other areas can cause distractions that could lead to an accident, resulting in death or serious injury.
Unpacking the ARVCS
The ARVCS box contains the following items:

ARVCS Description

- Charging Port
The ARVCS provides vehicle-to-vehicle communications of a minimum of 0.5 miles (line of sight). The ARVCS units have direct communication and do not rely on cell phone towers. Communication is provided visually through
“Stop Light” color coding of green, yellow, and red flashing lights.
There are 10 communication channels and no limit on number of ARVCS on the same channel.
Charging the ARVCS
Use the ARVCS supplied charging cable to charge the lithium battery inside the ARVCS unit. The charging cable plugs into any USB power supply.
Plug the supplied charging cable’s USB-C connector (1) into the ARVCS charging port.
The ARVCS power/charging LED indicator (2) will illuminate red while charging.

NOTE: The ARVCS can be charged while riding by plugging the charging cable into a motorcycle USB port.
Charging recommendations:
- Charge at a moderate temperature. Do not charge at freezing temperatures.
- Apply some charge to an empty battery before storing the ARVCS. A 40–50 percent state of charge is ideal for storage.
- Once a battery is fully charged, remove the charging cable from the ARVCS unit.
It will take approximately 6 hours to fully charge a low battery. The charging LED (3) will display green when fully charged.3) Power/Charging LED Indicator
A fully charged battery will provide about 24 hours of continuous operation depending on conditions such as temperature.
Mounting the ARVCS
1. Install the handlebar bracket (1) and magnetic base (2) to the socket arm (3). Do not fully tighten the socket arm fastener (4) at this time.

2. Install the handlebar bracket (5) in the desired location on the handlebars. Tighten the handlebar bracket fastener (6) securely.

4. Complete the Before Riding procedure. See “Before Riding” on page 1-5 for more information.

Operation Before Riding
Ensure units are paired BEFORE riding. There may be a slight delay when connecting units.
- Before the ride, the riding group must decide what each of the three button/LED light colors indicate and the proper action that must be taken when each corresponding light is illuminated.
- Press the power button (1) on the lead and trailing ARVCS units.
- Verify the lead and trailing ARVCS units display the same communication channel (2). If the ARVCS units display different communication channels, press the channel selection button (3) on either unit until both units display the same communication channel.

2) Channel Display - Test the AVRCS units for proper function. Press the green button on the lead rider’s ARVCS unit and verify that the green LEDs on both the lead rider’s and tailing rider’s ARVCS units are flashing.
- To acknowledge seeing the signal, the trailing rider must press the green button. This turns off the flashing green LEDs on both the lead and trailing rider’s units. This also indicates to the lead rider that the signal was received and acknowledged by the trailing rider.
- The ARVCS units are now ready for use.
While Riding
- If there is a problem or action requested by either the lead or the trailing rider, the other can press any of the three buttons green, yellow, red as previously agreed upon.
NOTE: Only one light is illuminated at a time. Pressing a color button turns off any other LED light that is illuminated. - Either the lead or trailing rider ARVCS will receive this signal and flash the same color LEDs.
- Either the lead or trailing rider acknowledges seeing the signal by pressing the corresponding colored button on their ARVCS unit. This turns off the flashing LEDs on both the lead and trailing rider’s ARVCS units and will indicate to either lead or trailing rider that their signal was received.
- Either the lead or trailing rider performs the previously agreed upon actions corresponding to the flashing LEDs color.

Warranty
Platinum Attitude LLC warrants this product to be free from defects in workmanship and materials, under normal use and conditions, for a period of one (1) year from the original invoice date. Shipping and handling fees are to be paid for by the customer. Platinum Attitude LLC agrees, at its option during the warranty period, to repair any defect in material or workmanship or to furnish a repaired or refurbished product of equal value in exchange without charge (except for a fee for shipping, handling, packing, return postage, and insurance, which will be incurred by the customer). Such repair or replacement is subject to verification of the defect or malfunction and original dated sales receipt.
This warranty does not include:
Damage resulting from misuse, abuse, negligence, accidents, or shipping damage.
Any condition resulting from other than ordinary wear or any use for which the product was not intended.
Normal wear and tear.

authority to operate the equipment.
This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions:
(1) this device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
This transmitter must not be co-located or operating in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter.
Note: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy, and if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications.
However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:
- Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
- Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
- Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
- Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
This device complies with FCC radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled environment. This device should be installed and operated with minimum distance 20cm between the radiator & your body.
