AKO-D14918
The AKO-D14918 programming key allows you to quickly and easily copy configured settings from one controller to another with the same functionality
Warnings
-Using the equipment without following the manufacturer’s instructions may affect the device’s safety requirements.
-The unit must be used in a location protected from vibrations, water and corrosive gases, where the ambient temperature does not exceed that shown in the technical data.
-Connecting this key to unsupported devices (see table) can cause serious damage to both pieces of equipment.
-In equipment with active communication, log out of communications software or disconnect the cable before connecting the programming key. The communication controller’s address must be 1.
Description

- LED COM
- RECORD KEY
- EXTERNAL POWER CONNECTOR
- READ KEY
- LED ON
- CONNECTOR CABLE
Compatibility
Refer to the instruction manual of your equipment on its compatibility with the AKO-D14918 programming key.
Connecting incompatible devices can permanently damage the key.
Wiring

- IMPORTANT: Pay attention to the orientation of the connector.
- AKO-80018
(Optional) - AKO-D14918
Power supply
-If the controller is in operation (on-site programming), the key does not require an external power supply (it is powered via the connecting cable).
-If the controller is NOT powered (workshop programming), the key requires a 12Vdc/500 mA external power supply (AKO-80018 or equivalent).
Operation
IMPORTANT: After connecting the key to the equipment wait for 5 seconds before starting the reading or writing process.
RECORD key
Write the data contained in the key memory to the controller.
Keep the key pressed until the COM led starts flashing quickly.
When recording is complete the controller will reset.
READ key
It reads the data from the controller and stores them in the programming key.
Keep the key pressed until the COM led starts flashing quickly.
When recording is complete the controller will reset.
LED ON
Steady or flashing: Indicates that the key is connected to the controller.
LED COM
Steady: Indicates an error in the transmission/reception of data
Fast flashing: Indicates transmission/reception of data in progress. At the end of the transmission LED COM will switch off.
Slow flashing: Indicates compatibility error- the data contained in the memory of the key is not compatible with the model of controller connected. Data can only be read from the controller to the key.
NOTE: To restart after a transmission or compatibility error, turn off the power supply or disconnect the controller connector cable.
IMPORTANT: Never disconnect the programming key during data transmission.
