The Turing RC Pro (Product Code: A-NUC101-M1B) and Maxwell RC Pro (Product Code: A-NUC102M1B) are designed to dissipate heat from a 40W Thermal Design Point (TDP) CPU. The following instructions set out how to limit the TDP in the BIOS settings on the ASUS NUC 14 Pro motherboard models.
Instructions
- Enter the BIOS settings by pressing the F2 function key multiple times as the system boots, until you have entered the BIOS screen.
- Go to the “Power, Performance and Cooling” tab.
- Select the “External Ambient Temperature Tolerance”. Change the setting to “User Defined”.
- Change the parameters as follows:
• Package Power Limit 1 (Sustained): 40
• Package Power Limit 2 (Burst Mode): 40
• Package Power Time Window (Tau): 1.00
- Press the F10 function key to save the settings. The computer will now boot with the new settings.
