With an alternative 6V PSU (type A), an Ajax hub or a range extender can operate on an external battery for up to 30 months without connecting to the facility’s power grid. Other wireless Ajax devices operate on pre-installed batteries for 2 to 10 years. The system monitors the property 24/7 and is ready to protect construction sites and empty houses without electricity from burglars, vandals, and unauthorized occupation.

- Summer houses that are “mothballed” for the winter with the electricity turned off.

Installation
- 6V PSU (type A) is installed inside the device enclosure instead of the standard 110/230 V~ power supply unit using a PH1 screwdriver.
- A standard jack plug is used to connect the power cable.
- A terminal adapter is included in the complete set.
