Product Usage Instructions

Installation

To install the WF-R720M-RTM1 module:

Ensure the host device is powered off.

Locate the appropriate slot for the module.
Gently insert the module into the slot aligning the pins
correctly.

Secure the module in place as per the host device’s
specifications.

Configuration

To configure the module:

Power on the host device.
Access the device settings to locate wireless and Bluetooth
options.

Select the WF-R720M-RTM1 module from the available devices
list.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the pairing
process if using Bluetooth.

WF-R720M-RTM1

1.1 System Overview WF-R720M-RTM1 SoC module designed base on RTL8720CM chip solution. RTL8720CM are highly integrated single-chip low power 802.11n Wireless LAN (WLAN) network controllers. It combines a KM4 MCU, WLAN MAC, a 1T1R capable WLAN baseband, RF, and Bluetooth in a single chip. It also provides a bunch of configurable GPIOs which are configured as digital peripherals for different applications and control usage.

1.3 Diagram The general HW architecture for the module is shown in Figure-1, The WF-R720M-RTM1 module is a chipset solution, system-on-chip-module, 1×1 802.11 b/g/n device optimized for low-power embedded applications with single-stream capability for both transmit and receive and Bluetooth in a single chip. It has an integrated network processor with a large set of TCP/IP with IPv4/IPv6 based services.
