Quick Start Guide

Congratulations on your purchase of the floorsight desk booking puck sensor. The following instructions will walk you through the process of turning on your puck and mapping it to a location on a floorsense controller floorplan.

Prerequisites

In order to operate the floorsense sensor and discover occupancy data you will need to deploy the floorsense controller hardware and have an account setup at floorsense.com.au. The floorsense controller should be deployed prior to attempting to activate the desk booking puck. Configuration

Turning on your floorsight desk booking puck

  1. Unpack your floorsight puck and identify the installation location
  2.  Connect the 24V DC power supply to the power in jack
  3. The LED light on top of the puck will flash red and then green. After between 30-60 seconds the LED will go solid green once it connects to the floorsense controller. This connection uses the pucks built in 915mhz radio which is preconfigured for your site and not user configurable.
  4. Install the floorsight puck in its final location – for example in a void cut into a desk. See the hardware installation guide at http://support.smartalock.com/support/solutions/articles/5000803912-floorsight-andfloorsense-installation-instructions

To operate the wireless charger place wireless charging client device (ie smartphone) onto the top of the puck where the lightning bolt indicator is at the centre of the charging coil. Different phones have different charging hotspots. You may need to move the phones around slowly to find the best charging location on the top of the puck.
To operate the NFC Reader: swipe compatible ISO14443A access card onto the area on the puck marked with the swipe card symbol
Bluetooth operation: The puck emits a bluetooth beacon which is compatible with the floorsense iOS and Android smartphone apps. The Bluetooth beacon contains the pucks serial number which is used by the floorsense iOS and Android app to identify the desk number the puck is installed at. There is no other use for Bluetooth connectivity. 2-way Bluetooth connection to the puck is not possible.
There is a microUSB port on the side of the puck. This is for technician use only to perform a factory upgrade of the puck firmware. It is not for end user use.
Thats it! Navigate to the floorsense controller web portal to map the floorsight desk booking puck to a floorplan location. If The LED does not transition to solid green check support.smartalock.com for more information.
