This manual provides instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your Philips AJ3400/37 Clock Radio. Please read these instructions carefully before using the device.

Opstelling

1. Kragverbinding

Connect the AC power cord to the clock radio.
Steek die ander kant van die kragkabel in 'n muurprop.

2. Battery-rugsteun installasie

The clock radio requires 2 AA batteries (not included) for time and alarm settings backup during power outages.

For optimal FM radio reception, fully extend the FM wire antenna. Adjust its position for the best signal.

Bedryfsinstruksies

1. Stel die klok in

Druk en hou die TYD BEREIK knoppie totdat die uursyfers flikker.
Druk die UUR button repeatedly to set the hour.
Druk die MINUUT button repeatedly to set the minute.
Druk TYD BEREIK weer om te bevestig en af te sluit.

2. Radio-operasie

The clock radio features FM digital tuning with presets.

Druk die RADIO AAN/UIT knoppie om die radio aan te skakel.
Druk die FM button to select FM band.
Om op 'n stasie in te skakel:
- Druk TUNE + or STEM - to manually adjust the frequency.
- Druk en hou TUNE + or STEM - for automatic station search.
To save a preset station:
- Stem na die verlangde stasie.
- Druk en hou die VOORINSTEL knoppie totdat die vooraf ingestelde nommer flikker.
- Druk PRESET + or VOORAFINSTELLING - om 'n voorafbepaalde nommer te kies.
- Druk VOORINSTEL weer om te bevestig.
Om 'n voorafbepaalde stasie te herroep, druk PRESET + or VOORAFINSTELLING - herhaaldelik.
Verstel die volume met die VOLUME + or VOLUME - knoppies.

3. Alarms instel (Dubbele alarm)

The unit features dual alarms, allowing two separate wake-up times.

Om Alarm 1 te stel:
- Druk en hou die ALARM 1 STEL knoppie totdat die uursyfers flikker.
- Druk UUR en MINUUT knoppies om die alarmtyd te stel.
- Druk ALARM 1 STEL again. The alarm source (Buzzer or Radio) will flash.
- Druk ALARM 1 MODUS te kies SUMER or RADIO.
- Druk ALARM 1 STEL te bevestig.
To set Alarm 2, follow the same steps using the ALARM 2 STEL en ALARM 2 MODUS knoppies.
Om 'n alarm te aktiveer/deaktiveer, druk die toepaslike ALARM 1 AAN/UIT or ALARM 2 AAN/UIT button. An indicator will light up when the alarm is active.
Wanneer 'n alarm afgaan, druk die SLUIMER button for a temporary pause. The alarm will sound again after approximately 9 minutes.
To turn off an alarm completely, press the respective ALARM AAN / AF knoppie.

4. Slaaptimer

Die slaaptimer laat die radio toe om vir 'n vasgestelde duur te speel voordat dit outomaties afskakel.

Druk die SLAAP button repeatedly to cycle through available sleep times (e.g., 120, 90, 60, 30, 15 minutes, or OFF).
Die radio sal outomaties afskakel na die gekose tyd.

Onderhoud

Skoonmaak

Ontkoppel die kragkabel voor skoonmaak.

Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or strong chemicals, as these may damage the surface.

Probleemoplossing

Probleem	Oplossing

Alarm klink nie	Ensure the alarm is activated (indicator light is on). Verify the alarm time is set correctly. Check the alarm volume level if set to radio.
Tyd/instellings verlore na kragonderbrekingtage	Install 2 AA batteries for backup. Replace old backup batteries.
