Inleiding
This instruction manual provides essential information for the safe and effective installation, operation, and maintenance of your Draper 24326 1/4" BSP Filter, Regulator, and Lubricator (FRL) unit. Please read this manual thoroughly before use and retain it for future reference.
Produk verbyview
The Draper 24326 FRL unit is designed to optimize the performance and longevity of pneumatic tools and systems. It performs three critical functions:
- Filter: Removes moisture and contaminants from the compressed air supply.
- Reguleerder: Controls and maintains a consistent output air pressure.
- Lubricator: Injects a fine mist of oil into the air stream to lubricate pneumatic tools during operation.
The unit features transparent polycarbonate bowls for easy visual inspection of the filter condensate level and the lubricator oil level. It is equipped with a 10-micron filter element and comes with wall mounting brackets for convenient installation.
Figuur 1: The complete Draper 24326 FRL unit. This image shows the pressure regulator with its gauge on the left, and the lubricator unit on the right. Both units feature transparent polycarbonate bowls for visual inspection of filtered condensate and oil levels. The unit is designed for wall mounting using the included brackets.
Veiligheidsinligting
WAARSKUWING: Belangrike Veiligheidsmaatreëls
- Always ensure the air supply is disconnected and depressurized before performing any installation, maintenance, or repair work on the FRL unit.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including eye protection, when working with compressed air systems.
- Do not exceed the maximum input pressure of 12 bar (170 psi).
- Polycarbonate Bowl Material Warning: Do not expose the polycarbonate bowls to petrol, kerosene, paint thinners, or any other harmful chemicals or their fumes. These substances can weaken the bowl material, potentially causing it to burst. Clean the bowls only with mild soap and warm water.
- Ensure all connections are secure and leak-free before operating the unit.
Opstelling
1. Montering
- Select a suitable vertical surface near your air compressor or point of use.
- Use the provided wall mounting brackets to securely attach the FRL unit. Ensure the mounting surface can support the weight of the unit and any connected hoses.
- Position the unit so that the pressure gauge is easily visible and the drain valve on the filter is accessible for maintenance.
2. Air Line Connection
- Connect the main air supply line (from the compressor) to the inlet port of the FRL unit. The inlet is typically marked or indicated by an arrow on the unit's body.
- Connect the air line leading to your pneumatic tools or system to the outlet port of the FRL unit.
- Ensure all connections are sealed using appropriate thread sealant (e.g., PTFE tape) to prevent air leaks.
Bedryfsinstruksies
1. Adjusting Air Pressure (Regulator)
- Ensure the air supply is connected and turned on.
- Pull up the black knob on top of the regulator unit.
- Turn the knob clockwise to increase the output pressure, and counter-clockwise to decrease it. Observe the pressure gauge for the desired setting.
- Once the desired pressure is set, push the knob down to lock it in place.
2. Filling and Adjusting Lubricator
- Before filling, ensure the air supply is disconnected and depressurized.
- Unscrew the transparent polycarbonate bowl from the lubricator unit.
- Fill the bowl with appropriate pneumatic tool oil (recommended ISO VG-32) up to the "MAX OIL LEVEL" mark. Do not overfill.
- Carefully screw the bowl back onto the lubricator unit, ensuring a tight seal.
- Reconnect the air supply.
- Adjust the oil drip rate using the small adjustment screw on top of the lubricator. Turn clockwise for less oil, counter-clockwise for more. Observe the drip indicator for proper lubrication.

The adjustment knob for the regulator and the oil drip adjustment for the lubricator are also visible.
Onderhoud
1. Draining the Filter
The filter unit collects condensate (water and debris) from the compressed air. This must be drained regularly to maintain efficiency.
- Locate the drain valve at the bottom of the filter bowl.
- Open the drain valve to release the collected condensate. Close it once the bowl is empty.
- Frequency of draining depends on air humidity and usage. Drain daily or as needed.
2. Cleaning Polycarbonate Bowls
As stated in the safety information, the bowls must be cleaned carefully.
- Disconnect and depressurize the air supply.
- Unscrew the bowls from their respective units.
- Clean the bowls using only mild soap and warm water. Do not use solvents, petrol, kerosene, or other harsh chemicals, as these will damage the polycarbonate.
- Rinse thoroughly and dry before reattaching.
3. Lubricator Refill
Monitor the oil level in the lubricator bowl. Refill when the oil level approaches the "MIN OIL LEVEL" mark, following the instructions in the "Operating Instructions" section.
4. Filter Element Replacement
The 10-micron filter element should be replaced periodically, depending on air quality and usage, or if a significant pressure drop across the filter is observed. Consult a qualified technician for filter element replacement.
