4. Setup Instructions

  1. Assemble the Pump: Attach the filter basket (intake strainer) to the bottom of the pump unit. Connect the desired length of water outlet pipe to the pump's outlet. If using the aeration function, connect the aeration tube to the air intake nozzle.
  2. Secure the Pump: Use the suction cups on the back of the pump to firmly attach it to the inside wall of your aquarium. Ensure the pump is positioned so it will be fully submerged when the aquarium is filled to the desired water level.
  3. Position Water Outlet: Direct the water outlet to create optimal water circulation and surface agitation. This helps with oxygen exchange and prevents stagnant areas.
  4. Oil Film Remover (if applicable): If your model includes an oil film remover, ensure it is correctly attached and positioned at the water surface.

6. Maintenance

  • Regular Cleaning: Disconnect the power supply. Remove the pump from the aquarium. Disassemble the filter basket and impeller cover. Clean the impeller, pump housing, and filter basket thoroughly to remove any debris, algae, or mineral buildup.
  • Filter Media Replacement: Replace the filter cartridge or filter media regularly (e.g., monthly or as needed, depending on aquarium conditions and usage) to maintain effective filtration.
  • Reassembly: Reassemble all components carefully, ensuring all seals are properly seated to prevent leaks.

7. Troubleshooting

Low Water Flow:
Check whether the filter cartridge or impeller is clogged with debris. Clean or replace as necessary.
Pump Not Starting:
Ensure the power cord is securely plugged in. Verify that the pump is fully submerged. Check for any blockages around the impeller that might prevent it from spinning.
Leakage:
Reinstall the unit, ensuring all connections are tight and the sealing ring (gasket) is properly in place and undamaged. Replace the sealing ring if it appears worn or damaged.
Excessive Noise:
Disconnect power and check the impeller for any foreign objects. Ensure the pump is securely mounted and not vibrating against the aquarium glass.
