1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the RAYKUBE Wifi Electronic Door Lock. This smart lock offers multiple unlocking methods including fingerprint, password, smart card, mechanical key, and remote access via the Tuya/Smart Life APP. It is designed to enhance the security and convenience of your home or office. Please read this manual carefully before installation and use to ensure proper operation and to maximize the product's lifespan.

5. Installation

5.1. Measuring Your Door and Mortise Lock

Before installation, it is crucial to measure your existing mortise lock and door dimensions to ensure compatibility and select the correct mortise size. The lock supports various mortise sizes; if you are unsure, please contact customer support.

5.2. Door Type and Thickness

The lock is suitable for various door types including Steel, Wooden, Brass, Stainless Steel, Broken Bridge Aluminium, and Sliding Doors. Ensure your door thickness is within the 35-55mm range (some models support up to 100mm). If your door is thicker, please consult the seller.

5.3. Handle Direction Adjustment

The handle direction is reversible to accommodate both left and right-handed doors. Refer to the detailed installation guide provided with your product for specific instructions on how to adjust the handle direction.

6. Setup

6.1. Battery Installation

The lock requires 4 x AAA 1.5V batteries (not included). The battery box is located in the back handle. Ensure batteries are inserted with correct polarity.

6.2. App Connection (Tuya/Smart Life)

To connect your lock to the Tuya or Smart Life app:

  1. Download the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app from your smartphone's app store.
  2. Register or log in to your account.
  3. Follow the in-app instructions to add a new device.
  4. Ensure your phone's WiFi is enabled and the lock is within range of your WiFi router.
  5. The app will guide you through the pairing process.

7. Operating Instructions

7.1. Unlocking Methods

The lock supports five primary unlocking methods:

  • Fingerprint: Place your registered finger on the semiconductor fingerprint reader.
  • Password: Enter your registered password on the touch keypad.
  • Smart Card: Tap your registered smart card on the card reading area.
  • Mechanical Key: Insert the mechanical key into the keyhole and turn.
  • Tuya/Smart Life APP: Use the app for remote unlocking or temporary password generation.

7.2. Remote Unlocking via APP

To unlock the door remotely using the app:

  1. Open the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app.
  2. Select your smart lock.
  3. Press '9#' on the lock's keypad to send an unlock request to the app.
  4. On your phone, confirm the remote opening request.

7.3. Temporary Passwords

You can generate temporary passwords for guests or one-time use through the app. These passwords can be set with specific validity periods.

7.4. Privacy Locking

The lock features a privacy locking switch on the back unit. When activated, common users cannot open the lock from the outside using fingerprint, password, or smart card. Only the administrator user can override this setting.

7.5. Unlock Records

The app keeps a detailed record of all unlock events, including the user and method used. This allows you to monitor access to your property.

8. Maintenance

  • Battery Replacement: Replace all four AAA batteries when the low battery warning is issued. Expect 6-8 months of battery life with normal use.
  • Emergency Power: In case of complete battery drain, use a mechanical key or connect a Micro-USB power bank to the emergency port for temporary power.
  • Cleaning: Wipe the lock surface with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Firmware Updates: Regularly check the Tuya/Smart Life app for any available firmware updates to ensure optimal performance and security.

9. Troubleshooting

  • App Not Connecting: Ensure your phone's WiFi is active and the lock is within range. Try resetting the lock and re-pairing with the app if issues persist.
  • Short Battery Life: Ensure you are using high-quality AAA batteries. Frequent WiFi activity can drain batteries faster.
  • Lock Not Responding: Check battery levels. If batteries are dead, use the mechanical key or emergency USB power.
  • Fingerprint Not Recognized: Ensure your finger is clean and dry. Re-register your fingerprint if recognition issues continue.
  • Sound Issues: The lock's sound prompts can be adjusted or disabled via the Tuya/Smart Life app settings.
  • Outdoor Use Concerns: While suitable for street-facing doors, the lock is not fully waterproof. Protect it from direct rain and extreme cold to prevent damage.

10. User Tips

  • Mortise Lock Selection: Always measure your existing mortise lock carefully before purchasing to ensure the correct fit.
  • Multiple Fingerprints: You can register multiple fingerprints for a single user for added convenience.
  • Remote Password Management: Utilize the app's feature to generate temporary passwords for visitors, enhancing security and convenience.
  • Auto-Lock Feature: The lock automatically engages when the door is closed. From the inside, the handle always allows exit.
  • Language Settings: The lock supports 8 voice prompt languages. Refer to the manual for instructions on how to change the language settings.
