  2. Plug the other end of the USB charging cable into a standard USB power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter).

Note: The battery is not easily user-replaceable. For battery replacement, professional service is recommended.

7. System Compatibility

The Rii X1 is compatible with HID-compliant devices that have a standard USB port. Supported operating systems include:

  • Windows 2000 / XP / Vista / CE / 7 / 8 / 10
  • Linux (Debian-3.1, Redhat-9.0, Ubuntu-8.10, Fedora-7.0 tested)
  • Android OS (with standard USB interface)
  • Mac OS (User reported compatibility)
  • Gaming Consoles (e.g., PS3/PS4, Xbox 360 - functionality may vary)

Ensure your device has a free USB port for the receiver.

8. User Tips

  • Battery Life: A full charge can last over a week with typical usage (20-30 minutes per day).
  • Language Layouts: When ordering, ensure you select the correct language layout (e.g., English, Russian, Spanish, French, German, Korean, Portuguese). Language switching is typically handled by the operating system settings of your connected device.
  • Backlight: Please note that some Rii X1 models, particularly those with specific language layouts, may not include a backlight feature. Refer to product specifications or seller for confirmation if backlight is a required feature.
  • Touchpad Scrolling: The touchpad may not support a dedicated middle mouse button or scroll function. Use standard touchpad gestures or on-screen scrollbars.
  • Smart TV Compatibility: While generally compatible with Smart TVs, specific functions (e.g., Korean input on Netflix app) may depend on the TV's operating system and app support.

9. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the keyboard and touchpad. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth with mild soap can be used, ensuring no liquid enters the device.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the keyboard in a cool, dry place. Remove the USB receiver and store it in its designated compartment on the keyboard to prevent loss.
  • Battery Care: Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Charge the keyboard regularly to maintain battery health.

10. Troubleshooting

10.1 Keyboard Not Responding

  • Check Battery: Ensure the keyboard is sufficiently charged.
  • Check Connection: Verify that the USB receiver is securely plugged into the device's USB port.
  • Re-pair: If the connection is lost, try unplugging and re-plugging the USB receiver. Turn the keyboard off and on again.
  • Interference: Move the keyboard closer to the receiver or away from other 2.4GHz wireless devices that might cause interference.

10.2 Touchpad Not Working

  • Clean Touchpad: Ensure the touchpad surface is clean and free of debris.
  • Check Settings: Verify that touchpad functionality is enabled in your device's operating system settings.

10.3 Input Lag or Disconnections

  • Distance: Ensure the keyboard is within the effective operating range (3-5 meters) of the USB receiver.
  • Obstructions: Remove any large metallic objects or other obstructions between the keyboard and the receiver.
