6. Troubleshooting

  • Tablet not recognized by computer:
    • Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the tablet and the computer.
    • Verify that the GAOMON driver is correctly installed and running. Try reinstalling the driver if issues persist.
    • Test with a different USB port or cable.
  • Tablet not recognized by Android phone:
    • Confirm your Android device is running Android 6.0 or higher.
    • Ensure your Android device supports OTG functionality.
    • Check that the OTG adapter and cables are correctly connected.
    • Some Android phones may require enabling OTG in their settings.
  • Limited working area on Android phone:
    • On some Android devices, only a portion (e.g., the left half) of the tablet's active area may be mapped to the phone screen. This is a common behavior for graphics tablets with Android.
    • Check if your drawing application on Android has specific settings for tablet input or working area mapping.
  • Pen pressure not working:
    • Ensure the GAOMON driver is installed and updated on your computer.
    • Check the pen pressure settings within the GAOMON driver.
    • Verify that the drawing software you are using supports pen pressure and that it is enabled in the software's settings.
  • Tablet surface wear/scratches:
    • Minor wear is normal over time. For protection, consider applying a protective film to the active area.
    • Ensure pen nibs are not excessively worn, as sharp edges can scratch the surface.
  • Compatibility with specific software (e.g., Krita, Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop):
    • The tablet is generally compatible with most major drawing software. Ensure the latest drivers are installed.
    • For specific issues, check the software's preferences for tablet input settings.
  • No Tilt Support:
    • This model does not feature tilt support. If tilt functionality is crucial for your workflow, please consider other models.

8. User Tips

  • Protective Film: To prevent scratches and prolong the life of your tablet's active surface, consider applying a protective film. Some users have found films designed for other tablets (e.g., Wacom ctl471) to fit well.
  • Drawing Glove: A drawing glove (often with two fingers) can enhance comfort and prevent unintended touches on the tablet surface while drawing. The GAOMON S620 package may include one.
  • Android Compatibility: While the tablet works with Android 6.0+, be aware that the active area mapping might vary, with some devices only utilizing a portion of the tablet's surface.
  • Driver Updates: Regularly check the official GAOMON website for the latest drivers to ensure optimal performance and compatibility with new software and operating system updates.
  • OTG Functionality: If connecting to an Android phone, ensure OTG is enabled in your phone's settings if the tablet is not immediately recognized.
