4. Package Contents
Upon opening the package, please ensure all items are present and in good condition:
- 1 x Yieryi 5-in-1 Soil PH Water Moisture Meter (Model TPH01812G)
- 1 x Instruction Manual
5. Setup
The device requires a 9V battery (not included) for operation. Follow these steps to install the battery:
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the meter's head.
- Gently slide or pry open the cover.
- Insert a new 9V battery, ensuring the polarity (+/-) matches the indicators inside the compartment.
- Replace the battery compartment cover until it clicks securely into place.
6. Operation
To use the soil meter, first remove the protective cap from the probe. Insert the metal probe into the soil to be tested, ensuring it is fully submerged for accurate readings. Press the 'ON' button to activate the device. You can adjust the angle of the display for better visibility by holding the product body in one hand and the aluminum rod in the other, then rotating the head.
6.1. Measuring Soil PH
Insert the probe into the soil. The display will show the pH value. Refer to the pH scale for interpretation.

6.2. Measuring Light Intensity
With the probe inserted, the meter will display the light intensity. The readings range from LOW- to HGH+, indicating varying levels of brightness.

6.3. Measuring Soil Moisture
The meter indicates soil moisture levels as DRY+, DRY, NOR, WET, or WET+. These indicators help determine if the soil is too dry, normal, or too wet.

6.4. Measuring Environmental Humidity
The device measures the humidity of the soil environment, displayed as a percentage. This helps understand the atmospheric moisture around the plant.

6.5. Measuring Soil Temperature
The meter displays the soil temperature in Celsius or Fahrenheit, providing crucial information for plant health.

7. Maintenance
- After each use, clean the electrode thoroughly to prevent damage and ensure accurate readings.
- Do not immerse the main part of the product (the display unit) in mud or water, as it is not waterproof.
- Avoid using the meter in soil containing stones or other hard objects, and do not insert the probe forcibly, as this may damage the electrode.
- Store the device in a dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use.
8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your plants, the soil meter can help diagnose common problems related to environmental conditions:
- Plant Death/Poor Performance: Often caused by imbalances in light, moisture, pH, or temperature. Use the meter to identify which factor is outside the optimal range for your plant species.
- Yellowing Leaves: Can indicate nutrient deficiencies related to incorrect pH levels or over/under-watering.
- Wilting: Typically a sign of insufficient moisture (DRY/DRY+ reading) or, less commonly, excessive moisture (WET/WET+ reading) leading to root rot.
- Stunted Growth: May be due to low light (LOW-/LOW readings), incorrect temperature, or improper pH.

9. User Tips
- Proper Insertion: Always remove the protective cap before inserting the probe into the soil. Ensure the probe is inserted deep enough to get an accurate reading of the root zone.
- Multiple Pots: The meter can be used for multiple pots. Simply clean the probe after each use and insert it into the next pot to measure its conditions.
- Avoid Water Immersion: The main body of the meter is not waterproof. Avoid immersing it in water or mud to prevent damage.
