5. Setup and Installation

5.1. SIM Card Insertion

  4. Close the SIM card slot cover securely.

5.2. Wiring Diagram

The GPS-311B requires connection to your vehicle's power supply. Refer to the diagram below for correct wiring. Incorrect wiring can damage the device or vehicle.

  • Black Wire: Connect to vehicle's negative (-) power.
  • Red Wire: Connect to vehicle's positive (+) power (12V-24V).
  • White Wire: Connect to ACC (Accessory) power.
  • Yellow Wire: Connect to the oil and power cut-off circuit via the provided relay. This enables remote engine cut-off functionality.
  • Orange Wire: Connect to the positive (+) power for an optional alarm siren (if applicable to your model and purchased separately).

Important: The GPS-311B model includes a relay for oil/power cut-off but does not support a remote controller or direct connection to an alarm siren without additional components.

5.3. Initial Power-Up

After correct wiring, turn on your vehicle's ignition. The device will power on, and the GSM and GPS indicator lights will begin to flash. Allow a few minutes for the device to acquire a GPS signal and connect to the GSM network.

6. Operation

The BAANOOL GPS-311B tracker can be operated and monitored through a web platform and a mobile application.

6.1. BAANOOL IoT Web Platform

The web platform allows for real-time tracking, history playback, setting geo-fences, and managing alarms.

  1. Register an Account: Open your web browser and navigate to http://www.baanool.net. Click on the 'Register account' option.
  2. Registration Details: You will need to enter the IMEI number of your device (found on the tracker itself), create an account name, password, and provide a mobile phone number for password retrieval.
  3. Login: Once registered, use your account name and password to log in.

6.2. Mobile Application

  1. Binding Device: Open the BAANOOL IoT app, register a new account if you haven't already, and then log in. Follow the in-app instructions to bind your GPS tracker using its IMEI number.

7. Maintenance

  • Keep Dry: The device is IP65 waterproof, but avoid prolonged exposure to extreme moisture or submersion.
  • Clean Gently: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the device. Do not use harsh chemicals or solvents.
  • Check Connections: Periodically inspect the wiring harness for any signs of wear, corrosion, or loose connections.
  • Battery Care: The internal battery is a 3.7V 180mAh Li-ion battery. While primarily powered by the vehicle, ensure the vehicle's battery is in good condition to provide consistent power to the tracker.
  • Software Updates: Keep your mobile app updated to the latest version for optimal performance and new features.
