5. Setup

5.1 Battery Installation

The device requires 2x AAA 1.5V Alkaline batteries (not included).

  1. Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the device (refer to Product Overview image for location).
  2. Insert the batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
  3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Power On/Off

  • To power on the device, press the 'ON' button.
  • To power off the device, press and hold the 'C/OFF' button. The device will also automatically power off after 180 seconds of inactivity.

6.2 Unit Switching

Press the 'UNITS' button to cycle through the available measurement units: meters (m), feet (ft), and inches (in).

6.3 Measurement Modes

Press the 'MENU' button to select different measurement modes. The current mode will be displayed on the screen.

  • Single Measurement: Point the laser at the target and press 'ON' to take a single distance measurement.
  • Continuous Measurement (Tracking): In this mode, the device continuously measures the distance as you move it. The maximum and minimum values will be displayed.
  • Area Measurement: Select area mode. Take two measurements (length and width). The device will calculate and display the area.

  • Volume Measurement: Select volume mode. Take three measurements (length, width, and height). The device will calculate and display the volume.

  • Pythagorean Measurement: Select Pythagorean mode. Follow the on-screen prompts to take the necessary measurements for indirect height or distance calculations (e.g., two measurements for single Pythagorean, three for double Pythagorean).

6.4 Angle Sensor

The device features a built-in angle sensor for real-time angle display, which can be useful for various applications.
