3. Setup and Installation

The R-W39 lock is designed for easy, wire-free installation on various door types. It must be installed on the interior side of the door.

3.3 Installation Steps

  1. Prepare the Door: Ensure the door surface is clean and suitable for mounting. The lock is designed for most door types, including in-opening and out-opening doors.
  2. Position the Lock: Use the provided installation template to mark the drilling points for the lock body and the integrated lock ears/strike plates.
  3. Drill Holes: Carefully drill the necessary holes as marked.
  4. Mount the Lock Body: Secure the main lock unit to the door using the provided screws and mounting plate.
  5. Install Strike Plates: Attach the appropriate integrated lock ears/strike plates to the door frame, aligning them with the lock pins.
  6. Install Batteries: Insert the required batteries into the main lock unit and any accessories (remote, keypad, door sensor).
  7. Pair Remote Controls/Keypad/Door Sensor: Follow the pairing instructions in the operating section to connect your accessories to the lock.

4. Operation

4.1 Main Lock Unit

  • Manual Operation: The lock features a manual rotate knob for locking/unlocking from the inside.
  • Emergency Button (Keeping Open): If you wish to keep the door unlocked, press this button.

4.2 Remote Control (R-RM1)

  • Locked Button: Press to lock the door.
  • Unlock Button (A): Press to unlock the door (normal working mode).
  • Unlock Button (B): This button is typically not used for normal operation.

4.3 Wireless Password Keypad (R-K13)

The keypad allows you to lock or unlock the door using a 1-6 digit password. A video guide for setting the password will be provided.

4.4 Wireless Door Sensor (R-DS1)

When the door sensor is installed and the door is closed, it transmits a locked signal to the lock, enabling automatic locking functionality.

4.5 Pairing Accessories

To pair a remote control, keypad, or door sensor with the lock:

  1. Open the battery cover of the main lock unit.
  2. Locate the 'Matching Remote Control Button' (often labeled A for normal working code-matching and B for backup code-matching).
  3. Press the matching button on the lock unit.
  4. Activate the accessory (e.g., press a button on the remote, enter a code on the keypad, or trigger the door sensor).
  5. The lock will confirm successful pairing.

If a remote control is lost, reset the lock to delete all registered remote controls and then re-pair the remaining ones.

5. Power Supply and Maintenance

5.1 Double Power Supply System

The R-W39 lock features a dual power supply system:

  • Routine Power Supply (A Power): Uses 4 x AA 1.5V dry batteries. Provides over 10 months of battery life with 20 uses per day. Includes a low power warning voice (bi bi bi...).
  • Backup Power Supply (B Power): Uses 1 x 23A 12V dry battery. Can standby for over 1 year. This system needs to be activated by shocking the door.

5.2 Activating Backup Power

If the routine AA batteries are completely exhausted, you can activate the backup power supply:

  1. Knock on the door 2-3 times to shock the lock. This will activate the backup power supply.
  2. The lock will emit a "bi" sound.
  3. Long press the unlock button on your remote control to unlock the door.

5.3 Battery Replacement

  • Main Lock Unit: Replace 4 x AA 1.5V batteries for routine power and 1 x 23A 12V battery for backup power when indicated by low power warnings or during routine maintenance.
  • Remote Control (R-RM1): Replace with 1 x CR2032 battery. To replace, use a small screwdriver to gently pry open the remote casing.
  • Wireless Password Keypad (R-K13): Uses 1 x 23A 12V battery.
  • Wireless Door Sensor (R-DS1): Uses 2 x AAA 1.5V batteries.

5.4 General Maintenance

  • The R-W39 lock is designed for indoor use only. Avoid exposure to outdoor elements, moisture, or extreme temperatures.
  • Keep the lock body and accessories clean and free from dust.
  • Regularly check battery levels and replace them as needed to ensure optimal performance.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Lock not responding to remote/keypad:
    • Check if the batteries in the lock unit and the remote/keypad are charged.
    • Ensure the remote/keypad is within the working distance (1-16M).
    • Re-pair the remote/keypad with the lock.
  • Lost Remote Control:
    • Reset the lock to delete all registered remote controls.
    • Re-pair your remaining remote controls with the lock. This invalidates the lost remote, preventing unauthorized access.
  • Main batteries exhausted, unable to unlock:
    • Activate the backup power supply by knocking on the door 2-3 times until the lock beeps.
    • Use the remote control to unlock the door.
  • Automatic locking not working with door sensor:
    • Ensure the door sensor batteries are charged.
    • Verify the door sensor is correctly installed and aligned with the magnet when the door is closed.
    • Re-pair the door sensor with the lock.

8. User Tips

  • Not Internet Dependent: The RAYKUBE R-W39 lock operates via wireless radio frequency (433MHz) with its remote controls, keypad, and door sensor. It does not rely on an internet connection for its core locking/unlocking functions, ensuring reliability even during network outages.
  • Keypad as Backup: The wireless password keypad (R-K13) can be a convenient backup if you misplace your remote control. Since the password is known only to you, it can be safely placed outside your door.
  • Security of Rolling Code: The lock uses KeeLog running code and anti-scanning code technologies. Each remote transmission sends a 60-bit code that becomes invalid after one use, making it difficult to copy or decipher.
