1. Introduction
The MD-210R is a fully supervised mini-style magnetic contact transmitter designed for security systems. It provides instant alarm functionality for door and window open/close events. This device transmits a strong wireless signal, with an effective range of up to 150 meters in open areas. It is designed to be coded and enrolled with a control panel before use, ensuring unique address code recognition. When the magnetic stripe separates from the transmitter by more than 2.5cm, the device sends an alarm signal to the control panel. This detector can also convert wired signals from other sensors into wireless signals, acting as a versatile transmitter within your security setup.

3. Setup and Installation
3.1 Battery Installation
- Gently press the snap near the LED indicator to open the cover of the transmitter unit.
- Insert the CR123A lithium battery, ensuring correct positive and negative polarity.
- Close the cover securely.
3.2 Pairing with Control Panel
The MD-210R must be paired with your control panel before use. Follow these steps:
- Set your wireless control panel to "auto code" mode or learning mode.
- Place the MD-210R transmitter and its magnetic stripe in parallel, close together.
- Move the magnetic stripe away from the transmitter. At the moment of separation, press the 'ensure' key on your control panel (if applicable) or activate the learning function. The detector will send a wireless signal.
- The control panel should then learn and store the detector's code.
Alternatively, you can manually enter the address code:
- Set the control panel to "manual code" mode.
- Enter the 9-digit code found on the label of the transmitter. This method can help reduce error rates.
3.3 Physical Installation Guidelines
- Do not mount the sensor in locations prone to damage or excessive vibration.
- Avoid mounting the sensor in loose places where it might easily detach.
- When using as a wireless detector, do not mount it near strong magnetic items (e.g., loudspeakers, high voltage cables) as this can cause interference.
- If not drilling, use strong double-sided adhesive tape or another robust bonding agent to secure the magnetic stripe and transmitter in the correct position.
3.4 Connecting Wired Sensors (Transmitter Mode)
The MD-210R can convert wired sensor signals to wireless. Use the two green wired ports on the internal circuit board to connect your wired sensors.

For example, you can connect wired infrared beams, wired PIR motion sensors, or wired sirens/horns to these ports to convert them into wireless versions or to enable local alarming.
4. Operation
4.1 Door/Window Monitoring
Once installed and paired, the MD-210R acts as a door or window contact sensor. When the door or window is opened, causing the magnetic stripe to separate from the main transmitter unit, the sensor will trigger an alarm signal to the paired control panel.
4.2 Alarm and Status Reporting
- Alarm Output: The device provides alarm and tamper output signals.
- Status Reports: The door sensor sends a work status report to the control panel at intervals of 60 seconds, 2 minutes, and 6 minutes after initial power-on or reset. During normal operation, it sends a work status report every 50 minutes.
- Open Door/Window Indication: The device includes an indication LED that may light up when the contact is open.
- Anti-lost Report: The system is designed to report if the sensor is lost or tampered with.
4.3 Demonstration Video
Watch this video for a visual demonstration of the MD-210R's operation, including arming, disarming, and triggering the alarm.
5. Maintenance
5.1 Battery Replacement
The CR123A lithium battery typically lasts about one year. Replace the battery when the signal between the detector and the control panel becomes weak.
- Open the cover of the transmitter unit.
- Carefully remove the old battery.
- Insert a new CR123A battery, ensuring correct polarity.
- Test the new battery by moving the magnetic stripe away from the transmitter. The control panel should register an alarm information.
- Close the cover securely.
5.2 Cleaning
If the surface of the detector becomes dusty over time, use a soft, damp cloth to clean it. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
6. Troubleshooting
While our wireless products are designed for reliability and tested to high standards, certain limitations may lead to unexpected alarms or malfunctions due to low transmitting power and limited range (as required by regulatory authorities). Common issues include:
- Voltage Instability: Instability in the control panel's voltage supply.
- Under Voltage: The detector's battery voltage is too low.
These issues are generally straightforward to resolve. If you require further assistance, please contact your supplier.
7. User Tips
- Compatibility Check: Ensure the MD-210R's operating frequency (433MHz or 868MHz) matches your existing alarm control panel for proper pairing and functionality.
- Battery Life: To maximize battery life, ensure the sensor is installed in a location with good signal strength to the control panel, reducing the need for the sensor to transmit at maximum power.
- Placement: For optimal performance, avoid placing the sensor near large metal objects or strong magnetic fields that could interfere with its operation.
