7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the hub. Avoid using liquid cleaners or aerosols.
- Storage: Store the hub in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Cable Care: The nylon braided cable is designed for durability. Avoid sharp bends or excessive pulling to prolong its lifespan.
- Heat Dissipation: The aluminum alloy shell aids in heat dissipation. Ensure the hub is placed in a well-ventilated area during operation.
8. Troubleshooting
- No Display on External Monitors:
- Ensure the hub is securely connected to your computer's USB-C/A port.
- Verify that HDMI cables are firmly connected to both the hub and the monitors.
- Check your computer's display settings to ensure external monitors are detected and configured correctly (e.g., extended or mirrored).
- For Windows, ensure the UDisplay driver is installed as per Section 5.2.
- For Mac OS, ensure the UDisplay application is installed and manually opened on the first run, and the "Extension switch" is enabled (Section 5.3).
- Incorrect Display Mode (Mac OS):
- If you experience issues with extended mode on Mac, confirm that your Mac is configured to use its built-in display in the Mac display settings.
- Resolution Issues:
- The UDisplay application only supports 1080P output. If you are expecting higher resolutions, this device may not be suitable.
- Adjust display resolution settings on your computer to match the capabilities of your monitors and the hub.
- Intermittent Connection:
- Try connecting the hub to a different USB-C or USB-A port on your computer.
- Ensure your computer's drivers and operating system are up to date.
9. User Tips
- For optimal performance, especially with multiple displays, ensure your laptop's graphics drivers are up to date.
- If you encounter any issues with display detection, try disconnecting and reconnecting the hub and monitors. A system restart can also resolve minor glitches.
- When using MST mode, arrange your displays logically in your operating system's display settings to match their physical arrangement for a seamless experience.
