Upon receiving your MOSEWORTH LiFePO4 battery, carefully inspect the packaging for any signs of damage. Open the package and ensure all components are present:

  • 1 x MOSEWORTH 24V 100Ah LiFePO4 Battery Pack
  • 1 x Product Instruction Manual

3.2 Mounting

The MOSEWORTH LiFePO4 battery offers unrestricted mounting capability due to its sealed design and lack of liquid acid. It can be safely mounted in any position. Ensure the mounting location is secure, well-ventilated, and protected from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.

3.3 Terminal Connections

The battery is equipped with M8 terminals. Use appropriate M8 connectors and ensure all connections are clean, tight, and secure to prevent resistance and overheating. Always connect the positive (+) terminal to positive and the negative (-) terminal to negative.

3.4 Series and Parallel Connection

This battery supports both series and parallel connections, allowing for flexible system configurations. You can connect up to 4 batteries in parallel and 2 batteries in series (Max 4P2S) to achieve higher voltage or capacity. For example, connecting 8 batteries (4P2S) can create a 51.2V 400Ah battery system with approximately 20.48kWh of energy.

Caution: Always use chargers specifically designed for LiFePO4 batteries. Using incompatible chargers can damage the battery and pose safety risks.

5. Maintenance

5.1 General Care

  • Keep the battery clean and dry.
  • Regularly check terminal connections for tightness and corrosion.
  • Avoid exposing the battery to extreme physical shock or vibration.
  • Store the battery in a cool, dry place within the recommended storage temperature range (25°C ± 5°C).

5.2 Temperature Considerations

The battery's performance and lifespan are affected by temperature. The BMS includes low-temperature cut-off protection:

  • Charging Off: Below 0°C (32°F)
  • Charging Recovery: Above 5°C (41°F)
  • Stop Discharging: Below -20°C (-4°F)

Operating or charging the battery outside the recommended temperature ranges can lead to reduced performance or damage.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your MOSEWORTH LiFePO4 battery, consider the following common troubleshooting steps:

  • Battery Not Charging:
    • Check all connections to ensure they are secure and free of corrosion.
    • Verify that the charger is specifically designed for LiFePO4 batteries and is functioning correctly.
    • Ensure the ambient temperature is within the recommended charging range (0°C to 55°C). The BMS will prevent charging below 0°C.
  • Battery Not Discharging/Providing Power:
    • Check all load connections.
    • Verify that the ambient temperature is within the recommended discharge range (-20°C to 55°C). The BMS will stop discharging below -20°C.
    • Check the battery's state of charge via the Bluetooth app. The BMS will cut off discharge if the voltage drops below 21.6V.
    • Ensure no over-current or short-circuit condition is present, which would trigger BMS protection.
  • Bluetooth App Not Connecting:
    • Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone.
    • Make sure you are within the 10-meter range of the battery.
    • Restart the app and/or your phone.
    • Check if the battery is powered on.

If the problem persists after performing these checks, please contact customer support.

7. User Tips

  • Monitor with Bluetooth: Regularly use the Bluetooth app to monitor your battery's health, state of charge, and temperature. This helps in proactive maintenance and understanding its performance.
  • Proper Sizing: When designing a system with multiple batteries, ensure you correctly calculate the required voltage and capacity. The ability to connect up to 4P2S offers significant flexibility for various power needs.
  • Temperature Awareness: Pay close attention to operating temperatures, especially in cold environments. The low-temperature cut-off features are crucial for battery longevity.
