2. Safety Information
Always read and understand all safety warnings and instructions before using this product. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious injury.
- This welding helmet is designed to protect eyes and face from sparks, spatter, and harmful radiation under normal welding conditions.
- Do not use this helmet for laser welding or overhead welding applications.
- Regularly inspect the helmet for any damage, including cracks in the shell or lenses. Replace damaged parts immediately.
- Ensure the auto-darkening filter (ADF) is functioning correctly before each use by performing the self-check function.
- Always wear appropriate secondary eye protection (safety glasses) under the welding helmet.
3. Setup and Assembly
3.1 Headgear Adjustment
The helmet features a 6-point contact headgear system designed for all-day comfort and weight distribution.

Figure 2: Detailed view of the headgear adjustment points.
- Cushioned Front: Position the front pad comfortably on your forehead.
- Front/Back Adjustment: Use the knobs on the sides to adjust the distance between the helmet and your face.
- Adjustable Top Strap: Adjust the top strap to fit the crown of your head.
- Cushioned Back & Side: Ensure the cushioned pads at the back and sides provide a snug, comfortable fit.
- Tightness Adjustment Knob: Rotate the large knob at the back to tighten or loosen the headgear for a secure fit.
- Widen Rear Headbands: Adjust for optimal comfort and stability.
3.2 Battery and Charging
The helmet is powered by solar cells with a built-in 500mAh polymer lithium rechargeable battery. It supports Type-C charging.

Figure 3: Type-C charging port and internal polymer lithium battery.
- Connect the provided Type-C charging cable to the charging port on the helmet.
- A battery indicator light will flash during charging. After charging is complete, the light will continue to flash while the device is off, indicating it has entered self-test mode. Restarting or turning off the device will disable this function.
- The solar cells continuously charge the battery during use in bright conditions, extending runtime.
3.3 Lens Installation/Replacement
The helmet features a multi-layer lens system for comprehensive protection and true color viewing.

Figure 4: Exploded view of the lens components.
- The lens system includes an Internal Protective Lens, LCD Shading Layer, UV/IR Filter, and an Outside Lens Cover.
- To replace any lens component, carefully unclip the lens frame from the helmet.
- Ensure all layers are correctly seated and free from dust or debris before reassembling.
- Always use genuine ANDELI replacement lenses to maintain optical clarity and protection standards.
4. Operating Instructions
The ANDELI RL-600 helmet features digital controls for precise adjustment of welding parameters.

Figure 5: Digital control panel for the welding lens.
4.1 Power On/Off and Mode Selection

Figure 6: Side control panel for quick mode switching.
- Power On/Off: Long press the 'GRIND ON/OFF' button to power the helmet on or off.
- Mode Selection: Short press the 'MODE HOLD/M' button to cycle through available modes: GRIND, CUT, WELD, and LOCK.
- GRIND Mode (DIN 4): For grinding operations. The lens remains in a light state (DIN 4).
- CUT Mode (DIN 5-9): For cutting operations.
- WELD Mode (DIN 9-13): For welding operations.
- LOCK Mode (DIN 5-13): Locks the current shade setting.
4.2 Shade, Sensitivity, and Delay Adjustment
Use the digital controls to fine-tune your viewing experience.
- Shade Adjustment: In CUT or WELD mode, use the '+' and '-' buttons on the main control panel to adjust the shade level (DIN 5-9 for CUT, DIN 9-13 for WELD).
- Sensitivity Control: Short press the 'SENS.' button on the main control panel, then use the '+' and '-' buttons to adjust the sensitivity (5 adjustable levels). Higher sensitivity is suitable for low current welding (e.g., 30A TIG), while lower sensitivity is for high current (e.g., 160A).
- Delay Time Control: Short press the 'DELAY' button on the main control panel, then use the '+' and '-' buttons to adjust the delay time (5 adjustable levels). This controls how quickly the lens returns from dark to light after welding stops.
4.3 Self-Check Function
Before each use, perform a self-check to ensure the auto-darkening filter is working correctly.
- Press the 'TEST' button on the main control panel.
- The lens should momentarily darken and then return to its light state. If it does not, do not use the helmet and refer to the troubleshooting section.
4.4 True Color Lens Technology

Figure 7: Visual clarity comparison: Traditional Lens vs. ANDELI True Color Lens.
The ANDELI True Color lens provides unmatched heat resistance and visual clarity by utilizing triple protection: 2-layer LCD glasses and a 1-layer optical filter. This technology truly filters arc light, blue light, and UV/IR radiation, offering a clear and natural view of the workpiece.
5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning
- Helmet Shell: Clean the helmet shell with mild soap and water. Avoid harsh solvents or abrasive cleaners.
- Lenses: Gently wipe the inner and outer protective lenses with a soft, clean cloth. For stubborn marks, use a lens cleaning solution specifically designed for plastic lenses. Do not scratch the auto-darkening filter.
- Headgear: The headgear can be removed and washed with mild soap and water. Allow it to air dry completely before reattaching.
5.2 Battery Care and Storage
- Keep the battery charged, especially during long periods of non-use, to prolong its lifespan.
- Store the helmet in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Use the provided storage bag to protect the helmet from dust and scratches.
6. Troubleshooting
- Lens not darkening:
- Ensure the helmet is powered on.
- Check battery charge level and recharge if necessary.
- Verify that the ARC sensors are clean and unobstructed.
- Perform the self-check function. If it fails, the ADF may be faulty and require replacement.
- Poor visibility/unclear view:
- Clean all lens surfaces (inner and outer protective lenses, and the ADF).
- Ensure the correct shade level is selected for your application.
- Check for scratches or damage on the lenses and replace if necessary.
- Helmet feels uncomfortable or loose:
- Re-adjust the headgear using all available adjustment points (front/back, top strap, tightness knob).
- Ensure the cushioned pads are correctly positioned.
