Safety Information

WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury, read and understand all instructions before using this heater.

  • Always plug heaters directly into a wall outlet/receptacle. Never use with an extension cord or relocatable power tap (outlet/power strip).
  • This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces.
  • Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9 m) from the front of the heater, and keep them away from the sides and rear.
  • Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near children or invalids and whenever the heater is left operating and unattended.
  • Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug or after the heater malfunctions, has been dropped or damaged in any manner.
  • Do not use outdoors.
  • To disconnect heater, turn controls to OFF, then remove plug from outlet.
  • Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock or fire, or damage the heater.
  • To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.
  • This heater includes a Tip Over Safety Switch which automatically turns off the heater if it is accidentally tipped over.
  • The heater is equipped with a Child Lock feature to prevent unintended operation.

Setup

The GD9315BCW-4J heater requires minimal assembly, primarily attaching the casters for portability.

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the heater and all components from the packaging. Retain packaging for storage or return if necessary.
  2. Caster Assembly: Turn the heater upside down on a soft, protected surface to avoid scratching the cabinet. Locate the pre-drilled holes on the bottom corners. Insert the caster stems into these holes and push firmly until they click into place. Ensure all casters are securely attached.
  3. Placement: Place the heater on a firm, level surface. Ensure there is at least 3 feet (0.9 m) of clear space around the heater from any combustible materials. Do not place the heater directly below a power outlet.
  4. Power Connection: Ensure the heater is turned OFF. Plug the power cord directly into a grounded 120V AC, 60Hz electrical outlet. Do not use an extension cord.

  • ON/OFF Button: Press to turn the heater on or off.
  • Mode Button: Cycles through different operating modes (e.g., High, Low, ECO).
  • High/Low Buttons: Selects between high and low heat settings.
  • ECO Mode: Activates energy-saving mode.
  • Timer Button: Sets the automatic shut-off timer. Use the Up/Down arrows to adjust the duration.
  • Up/Down Arrows: Adjust temperature settings or timer duration.
  • Digital LED Display: Shows current temperature, timer settings, and operating mode.
  • Thermostat Control: The heater features a thermostat to maintain a desired room temperature. Set your preferred temperature using the Up/Down arrows.

Initial Operation:
